    Abstract: An alkaline battery is provided which comprises a positive and negative electrode separated by a separator, each electrode having a bare conductive portion at one end. Current collectors comprising a thin conductive plate with numerous convexities or projections formed thereon are welded to the conductive parts. The convexities form conductive points with the conductive parts of the assembly.
