    Abstract: A silver halide photographic material is disclosed. According to the processing method an excellent reversal photographic image can be obtained using a high pH type developing solution which is stable wherein a change of pH due to exhaustion and aerial oxidation is considerably small.

The granularity of the material is improved by incorporating a non-diffusible coupler capable of forming a properly smearing diffusible dye by causing a reaction with the oxidation product of a color developing agent and a colorless competing compound capable of capturing the oxidation product of a color developing agent in at least one of the foregoing silver halide emulsion layers.
