  • Patent number: 5122430
Abstract: The invention provides a three-dimensional image forming method which comprises the steps of forming a desirable image on an image recroding material including a thermoexpansive material by using an image forming material including an infrared rays absorbing agent or metal aluminum fine particles, said infrared rays absorbing agent containing tin oxide, antimony oxide and/or indium oxide; and applying heat selectively to the desirable image area formed on said recording material, whereby the desirable image-existing area is protruded to effect the three-dimensional image recording.

  • Patent number: 4904334
Abstract: An apparatus for color highlighting an image portion of a photocopy including a housing provided with a storage compartment for storing a roll of transfer material and an opening for extraction of the leading end of the transfer material. A pressure member is disposed in the housing in the proximity of the opening and adapted to exert pressure or heat and pressure on the transfer material being extracted and permit transfer of part of the transfer material onto a surface of a photocopy for receiving the transfer material. A pair of guiding members prevent the transfer material from contacting the pressure member when the apparatus is not in the state of operation. In operation, the action of extraction of the transfer material and the action of exertion of pressure are accomplished by the movement of the housing.

  • Patent number: 4903195
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for controlling the data transfer between the rotary memory device such as a disk drive apparatus and the central processing unit. In this invention, after positioning to the read start location designated by a command from the central processing unit for determining the read start location, pre-fetch of the buffer operation is started without waiting for the read command subsequent to that command.

  • Patent number: 4871408
Abstract: A three-dimensional image recording material for recording images in three dimensions and a three-dimensional image processing method using the said recording material. In forming the recording material, thermoexpansive microspheres each formed by encapsulating a low boiling, vaporizable substance into a microcapsule of a thermoplastic resin are applied onto sheet together with a binder. In forming a three-dimensional image, a desired image is formed on the thermoexpansive coating layer according to an electrophotographic method and then irradiated with light, whereby the toner image area is heated selectively and so that thermoexpansive coating layer expands to raise the image. Then, a laminate film having a heat transferable coloring material layer is put thereon followed by the application of heat and pressure to color the raised image area in a desired color.

  • Patent number: 4871407
Abstract: A sheet-like image recording material capable of forming a three-dimensional image. The image recording material comprises a sheet-like base material, a thermoexpansive coating layer formed by applying thermoexpansive microspheres onto the base material surface together with a binder, the thermoexpansive spheres being each formed by encapsulating a low boiling, vaporizable substance into a microcapsule of an thermoplastic resin, and a film layer bonded releasably onto the surface of the coating layer or the base material surface on the side where the coating layer is not provided. A toner image of a desired original image is formed on the film layer according to a electrophotographic method and then irradiated with light, whereby the toner image portion is heated selectively, so that the thermoexpansive layer expands to raise the image, thus affording a three-dimensional image. The toner image can be removed by peeling the film layer from the sheet-like image recording material.

  • Patent number: 4481289
Abstract: In manufacturing a photographic support by coating a travelling paper substrate with a polyolefin resin, the adhesion of the resin to the substrate can be markedly improved by subjecting the uncoated paper substrate to an activation treatment on the side to be subsequently coated with the polyolefin resin and exposing the side of the molten polyolefin resin to be brought into contact with said paper substrate to an ozone-containing gas blown against said molten resin. This method leaves behind no adverse effect on the photographic emulsion which is subsequently applied and permits of marked improvement of the productivity at a low cost.
