  • Patent number: 4902240
Abstract: A multi-terminal connector comprising a male housing having a plurality of female terminals stored therein, a female housing having a plurality of male terminals stored therein and provided with an enlarged body for accomodating the male housing, a plurality of guide rails including at least two main guide rails and one supporting rail running in parallel therebetween disposed along the longer side of the enlarged body of the female housing, and also intersecting at right angles against the axis of the male terminals, a pair of sliders each slidably engageable with the guide rails, having a cam follower downwardly projecting from the lower surface thereof, a longitudinal slot formed between the above at least two of rails for permitting each of the cam followers to protrude therethrough, a pair of cam tracks arranged in the upper surface of the male housing and symmetrically extending in a diagonally rearward direction from lateral ends thereof to engage with the respective cam followers through the slot.

  • Patent number: 4880943
Abstract: The method of binding a flat wiring harness according to the present invention comprises the steps of:arranging a plurality of covered wires in parallel relationship in the same plane and bonding them in an easily separable manner thereby forming a flat wiring harness, separating the covered wires by a predetermined, identical number between adjacent covered wires over a predetermined length thereby dividing them into a plurality of small bundles, separating both end portions of all the covered wires in each of the small bundles between adjacent covered wires, and laying the plurality of small bundles one on top of the other and binding them up together in an easily separable manner.

  • Patent number: 4875873
Abstract: A connector including a female housing having a plurality of male terminals and a male housing having a plurality of female terminals. The female housing further includes at least two guide rails connected to each other and provided with an axis hole. A pair of sliders are each slidably engageable with the guide rails. Each slider has an upwardly projecting pin and a cam follower projecting downwardly. A pair of longitudinally aligned slots are formed between the two guide rails and receive the cam followers. A pair of cam tracks arranged in an outer surface of the male housing engage the cam followers which extend through the slots. A rotary actuator plate having two symmetrical grooves provided around a downwardly projecting pin is attached to the rail connecting portion by inserting the pin in the axis hole.

  • Patent number: 4820181
Abstract: Disclosed is a watertight connector comprising a male connector housing in which a cavity for containing a packing therein is formed by the combination of an outer wall, an upstanding rear wall extending outwardly from the outer wall and a water-intrusion preventive wall extending forward from the end of the rear wall to surround the corresponding portion of the outer wall, and a mating female connector housing including a hollow columnar portion adapted to be inserted into the cavity to compress the packing thereby completing a watertight joint. In the connector, the packing is formed with an engaging projection extending from its end surface opposed by the rear wall of the male connector housing, and the rear wall is formed with a mating aperture to be engaged watertight by the engaging projection of the packing.
