  • Publication number: 20080202368
Abstract: An ink supplying unit supplies a water-based ink having a predetermined water content set in advance. An ink form roller receives the water-based ink from the ink supplying unit. A plate cylinder is in contact with the ink form roller, and receives the water-based ink from the ink form roller. A water-content decreasing unit decreases the water content of the water-based ink on the ink form roller.

  • Publication number: 20080115682
Abstract: A cleaning device that cleans an ink-supply path of a printer including a plurality of cylinders that constitute the ink-supply path. The cleaning device supplies cleaning solution from a cleaning nozzle to an ink-transfer cylinder in the state where the ink-transfer cylinder is not in contact with an ink-source cylinder, and a blanket cylinder is not in contact with a recording medium. After the cleaning solution is supplied to all the cylinders, a cleaning-solution collecting cylinder is brought into contact with an inking cylinder to collect waste cleaning solution therefrom. A cleaning-solution removing blade removes the waste cleaning solution from the cleaning-solution collecting cylinder.

  • Publication number: 20080006164
Abstract: An offset rotary printing machine which includes a first printing cylinder and a second printing cylinder in which printing is performed on a web at a nip between the pair of printing cylinders, the second printing cylinder contacting the first printing cylinder and being shifted downstream from the first printing cylinder. The printing machine includes an angle adjustment mechanism for adjusting an angle of a plane connecting center axes of the pair of printing cylinders which is inclined to a plane perpendicular to the moving direction of the web, and a controller for controlling the angle adjustment mechanism, based on parameters interrelating to a delamination occurrence probability that is caused as printing is performed by the downstream second printing cylinder.

  • Publication number: 20060005722
Abstract: A fluctuation characteristic of registration between images printed by individual printing units (4A, 4B, 4C, 4D) while changing print speed is predicted for each of particular printing conditions that affect the registration fluctuation characteristic. Based on the predicted fluctuation characteristic of registration, a control characteristic of the phase between plate cylinders (5, 5, 5, 5) of the individual printing units (4A, 4B, 4C, 4D) is preliminarily set so as to compensate for vertical image misregistration between images printed by the individual printing units (4A, 4B, 4C, 4D), and is stored in a database (32).

  • Publication number: 20020088527
Abstract: A method of measuring a gauge of used rubber portion of a buffed tire with an enhanced efficiency and high accuracy is disclosed, and in this method, workability of a buffing process can be improved. A buffing method is also disclosed which enhances a production efficiency of recaps, maintaining high levels of workability of the buffing process and quality of the recaps. An eddy-current sensor is used to measure a gauge g of used rubber portion or a thickness from an outer circumferential surface to a belt layer in a buffed tire to recap the tire, and voltages detected by the eddy-current sensor is converted in accordance with a conversion method designated to each of types of belt configuration to compute a real distance of the gauge of the used rubber portion.
