  • Patent number: 6170147
Abstract: A starting material which is converted to a continuous body of an oxide superconductor by a heat treatment is filled in a tubular Ag sheath member. The diameter of the filled member is reduced by extrusion to form a wire. The wire is subjected to a heat treatment so that the starting material inside the sheath member is converted to a continuous body of an oxide superconductor. A superconducting wire constituted by the sheath member and the oxide superconductor filled inside the sheath member is obtained. A superconducting coil can be obtained by winding the superconducting wire.

  • Patent number: 5894458
Abstract: An apparatus is disclosed which mechanically supports and electrically connects a magnetic field modulation head for opto-magnetic recording to a supporting/connecting device. The magnetic field modulation head is in slidable contact with a surface of an opto-magnetic disc and is placed face-to-face with a laser pick-up device. The apparatus has a connecting spring member made of a conductive material. The connecting spring member has one end which joins a coil of the magnetic field modulation head with a coil of the magnetic field modulation head, and an opposite end which is fixed on a supporting member. The spring member has a pair of conductive pieces spaced apart from each other. The conductive pieces are made of a material which renders the coil conductive with the supporting member, the one end and the magnetic field modulation head being embedded in a composite resin material. To partially mechanically engage the conductive pieces together, an insulating engaging member may be used.

  • Patent number: 5442137
Abstract: A housing is arranged outside a superconducting wire body to enclose it at a predetermined gap. A solder layer and/or a space are formed as a stress relaxation layer between the superconducting wire body and the housing. The gap between a surface of the superconducting wire body, to which a load acts in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the superconducting wire body, and a housing material layer, is set to at least 0.25 mm at each side. Alternatively, a solder layer is formed to leave a space between a surface of the superconducting wire body, to which the above load mainly acts, and the housing material layer.

  • Patent number: 5100481
Abstract: A composite member is prepared which comprises a core which will have a compound superconducting layer when heat-treated, and a stock for forming a stabilizing member made of copper and surrounding the core. The composite member is heat-treated in an oxidizing atmosphere, thus forming a copper-oxide thin layer on the surface of the stock. Thereafter, the composite member is heat-treated in a non-oxidizing atmosphere or in an atmosphere having an oxygen partial pressure which is too low to allow the forming of copper oxide. As a result, a compound superconducting wire is made which comprises a member including a compound superconductor, a diffusion-preventing layer made of oxide and surrounding the member, and a stabilizing member made of copper and surrounding the layer.

  • Patent number: 4669845
Abstract: In a camera of the drop-in loading type having a film insertion opening formed at the bottom of the camera body, a device is provided for restricting a back lid, supported for pivotal opening and closing movement on the camera, to a partially opened position where the insertion opening is exposed and a guide slot is defined between the camera body and the back lid for allowing a film container with a film leader previously drawn out to be inserted therethrough. The restricting device can be released for full opening in order that the back lid is full opened to a position where the rear of the camera body is exposed to allow repairing an interior mechanism.

  • Patent number: 4474443
Abstract: A device for feeding a film from a patrone in a camera, in which the film is fed by an endless caterpillar belt having pawls for engaging with film perforations. The caterpillar belt is positioned in a camera so as to match the film perforations between two film guides of the camera and is extended parallel to the film feeding direction. The caterpillar belt is driven by a set of a driving pulley and a driven pulley. The section of the pawls, taken along the film plane, is shaped to have a circular arc contour so as to contact only with the vicinity of the central portion of each film perforation.
