  • Patent number: 7364700
Abstract: A sensing element in which a dye that changes in the light absorption characteristic of the visible region upon reaction with ozone gas is deposited in the pores of a porous material is prepared. A change in dye before and after exposing the sensing element to a measurement environment for a predetermined time is measured. The ozone gas amount in measurement target air is measured on the basis of the change in dye.

  • Publication number: 20060238623
Abstract: An image sensing apparatus which uses image sensors with different spectral sensitivities depending on driving modes executes still image sensing in accordance with a predetermined operation instruction from a user, during a predetermined operation of driving the image sensor in the driving mode different from still image sensing. In such still image sensing, a still image sensing white balance control value is obtained based on an image signal obtained by driving the image sensor in the driving mode for still image sensing, and a white balance is controlled in still image sensing. When returning to the predetermined operation state from still image sensing, the white balance control value obtained in still image sensing is converted to the white balance control value corresponding to the driving mode of the image sensor in the predetermined operation state to apply the obtained white balance control value.

  • Publication number: 20060221204
Abstract: An image capturing apparatus capable of shooting still images during moving image shooting generates an alternate frame image corresponding to a moving image frame dropped when acquiring a still image when performing still image shooting during moving image shooting, using the obtained still image. At this point, white balance control values are respectively set for the still image and the alternate frame image. The still image and the alternate frame image are developed using the set white balance control values.

  • Publication number: 20050185064
Abstract: An image pickup apparatus which makes it possible to obtain a suitable exposure value even if the brightness of the subject changes just before photography preparations and is capable of achieving both of acceleration of photography preparations and high precision exposure control. A ranging control section 42 carries out focus detection control on a subject image in a plurality of control modes. An exposure control section 40 repeatedly carries out feedback exposure control of the subject image so as to maintain proper brightness of an image obtained from an image pickup device 14. A system control circuit 50 controls the exposure control section 40 so as to carry out the feedback exposure control before execution of the focus detection control according to a selected one of the control modes of the raging control section.

  • Patent number: 5733465
Abstract: A cutting die is produced by a process of forming resist patterns corresponding to the shapes of low cutting edges and resist patterns corresponding to the shapes of high cutting edges on a metal plate and conducting an etching treatment on the metal plate, wherein the height of each of the cutting edges is varied by varying the width of the relevant resist pattern, varying the timing of removing the relevant resist pattern and applying or not applying sealing treatment thereto. This process enables easy production of a cutting die provided either with low cutting edges and high cutting edges or with embossing parts and high cutting edges. Further, the use of this cutting die enables simultaneous execution of full cutting and half cutting (or embossing) operations, so that labels, box development base papers and the like can be produced by a single process.

  • Patent number: 5619335
Abstract: A digital video recording and playback system, and a method for recording video program information on a multiple-channel recording medium, such as tape. The system includes multiple playback devices, such as VCR decks. Each playback device outputs video program data from each of multiple channels of the recording medium at the same time. Synchronizing circuitry controls the playback devices so that alternately one is in playback mode while the other is in non-playback mode. The sequential outputs of the two playback devices can create a continuous and complete video program. One playback device is in playback mode while the other is rewinding. Because the video program data is recorded on the multiple channels with staggered starting times, little wait time occurs between the request for a program by a viewer and the start time of the program.

  • Patent number: 5555193
Abstract: A video system that avoids disruption of a displayed scene. A scene from a first data stream is held on a display while a second scene from a second data stream is being built up. A first embodiment includes a transition memory for holding the first scene and a frame memory for building up the second scene. Once the second scene is built up, it is displayed. A second embodiment includes a memory in which the first scene is held and displayed on the display while the second scene is also being built up in the memory.

  • Patent number: 4669805
Abstract: A high frequency connector for interconnecting a microstrip circuit and an external circuit. That portion of a center conductor which is adjacent to the microstrip circuit is deviated from the axis of the connector and resiliently supported, thereby eliminating an intermediary element for interconnection to promote easy and positive interconnection. The connector is desirably applicable to TEM mode waves lying in the frequency band of 0.3-30 GHz.

  • Patent number: 4417401
Abstract: A garment measuring device comprises a standard body resembling a human body and a plurality of contact pieces of curved planes provided with a sensor for detecting the contact pressure exerted by the garment and protrusibly disposed at necessary positions of the standard body. With this device, measurement of a given garment is effected by putting the garment on the standard body, allowing the contact pieces to protrude from the standard body until they reach the garment, and calculating the sizes of the garment on the basis of the amounts of protrusion of the contact pieces.
