  • Patent number: 7450648
Abstract: A signal processing device uses a ?? modulator having varying effective orders to ensure an S/N ratio by selecting a high order when a 1-bit music signal is output via the ?? modulator. The signal processing device prevents noise during switchover by shifting to a low order just before the ?? modulator is bypassed if this occurs. The present invention provides a digital signal processing device which can switch between an original sound signal and a ?? modulation signal and yield a sufficient S/N ratio for a reprocessed ?? modulation signal. If any 1-bit original sound signal is input, little switching noise is generated.

  • Patent number: 5889483
Abstract: A signal processing device wherein an incoming one-bit digital audio signal is blocked by every predetermined bit-length block. Two consecutive blocked frames are compared and it is judged whether or not an integral value of each frame is a predetermined value. If a portion where coincidence between the frames and coincidence of the integral value continue for a predetermined period of time, mute processing is performed.

  • Patent number: 5877716
Abstract: In a digital-data processing unit provided by the present invention, the level of 1-bit digital audio data resulting from DELTA-SIGMA modulation is adjusted by means of a multiplier. A digital audio data signal with the level thereof adjusted then undergoes DELTA-SIGMA modulation carried out by a low-pass DELTA-SIGMA modulator. As a result, digital audio signal with the word length thereof restored to its original value is obtained. In this case, high-frequency noise included in the digital audio data is removed.
