  • Publication number: 20020021668
Abstract: The invention provides an ATM switch which realizes hierarchical shaping for each virtual channel and each virtual path with a simple configuration. Cells are sent from cell buffers of an ATM core switch by FIFO operation to output side connection information application sections of output side circuit interfaces. In each of the output side circuit interfaces, the output side connection information application section acquires connection information such as a service class based on an intra-switch connection identification number applied to each cell and applies the connection information to the cell. An output cell buffer queues cells for each virtual channel. A VC cell rate control section reads out cells from the output cell buffer in accordance with the connection information and performs traffic priority control and rate control of the cells to be outputted.

  • Patent number: 5850290
Abstract: A three-dimensional shape measuring apparatus includes a moving frame arranged to surround a measurement space. The moving frame is arranged to be movable in a vertical direction. A plurality of sensors is disposed opposite to each other on two opposite sides of the moving frame and are arranged to effect a horizontal scanning of light to measure distances to a human body being measured. A driving mechanism moves the moving frame. An analyzer calculates distances to the human body, based on output signals from respective sensors, to analyze data of a surface position of the human body, i.e., a three-dimensional shape thereof. The apparatus further includes a placement state on which the human body is placed. Since the sensors are located so as to face the front and the back of the human body, the apparatus can also measure portions below an armpit and below a crotch.

  • Patent number: 5622434
Abstract: A linear bearing structure comprises a bearing bush, a plurality of annular ball retainers each holding a plurality of bearing balls, circumferentially and a pair of annular endpieces respectively removably secured to ends of the bush to confine the ball retainers therein. The bearing bush comprises an outer metal cylinder and an inner cylindrical lining layer formed by a bearing material having a small coefficient of friction and a small coefficient of wear and is provided with a slit which has a predetermined width and extends along the axis of the bush over the entire length thereof so that the bush can be circumferentially elastically compressed by a magnitude corresponding to the width of the slit. Each of the endpieces has, at the inner side thereof, an annular groove having a diameter smaller than that of the bush so that by compressing the bush into the annular grooves of the endpieces at the ends of the bush, the bush and the endpieces can be elastically fitted together.

  • Patent number: 5107725
Abstract: In a hydraulic pressure control apparatus for an automatic transmission, a retarding control apparatus has a first retarding signal output for processing the engine output decreasing rate and outputting a corresponding retarding signal, the absorbed power of the engine upon retarder operation is sensed, and the pressure oil is regulated to a predetermined pressure wherein the predetermined pressure is modulated responsive to the absorbed power of the engine. A second retarding signal outputting outputs a retarding signal corresponding to braking operation and a switch changes over the connection to the retarder, upon detecting a braking operation, from the first retarding signal to the second retarding signal and vice versa. The shifting shock during operation of retarder is eliminated even under elevated hydraulic pressure during the retarder operation.

  • Patent number: 4791827
Abstract: In the conventional cam device for a pressure regulating valve, when the cam is rotated abruptly, a contact force between the roller and the cam surface decreases abruptly particularly during the cam return stroke. On the other hand, a rotational force also tends to be applied to the plunger during the plunger return stroke. Therefore, there exists a problem in that the roller rotates together with the plunger out of a correct engagement between the roller and the cam surface. To overcome this problem, the roller and the cam surface are engaged in convex and concave engagement relationship. A convex is formed in the roller and a concave is formed in the cam surface or vice versa.

  • Patent number: 4770550
Abstract: An automatically tiltable small roller structure, which comprises a shaft, a small roller including an elastic rubber cylinder and a sleeve, and a plurality of bearing balls. The sleeve is integral with the inner periphery of the elastic rubber cylinder, and mainly composed of polytetrafluoroethylene (fluoroplastics). The shaft is fitted in the roller structure. The bearing balls are fitted in a circumferential or annular groove formed on the shaft, and are provided such that they are in rolling contact with the inner periphery of the roller and the outer periphery of the shaft in the groove. The groove is provided at a middle point between the opposite ends of the roller. The depth of the groove is set such that the bearing balls project slightly from the groove, so that a slight gap is formed between the inner periphery of the roller and the outer periphery of the shaft. The axes of the roller and shaft are thus slightly tiltable in relation to each other.
