  • Patent number: 5036349
Abstract: An autofocusing system for a camera, wherein a defocus amount is detected with a light-amount-integration type detector for performing a focusing operation. The focusing operation is adjusted in a predetermined fashion if it is determined that a photographic lens has moved and/or the focal length of the photographic lens has varied while the light-mount-integration is being executed.

  • Patent number: 5021817
Abstract: An automatic shutter driving device releasable when the image of a subject is sharply focused comprises a mode selection switch, enable-signal generating means, logic circuit, and a shutter driving circuit. The mode selection switch is mounted on a camera body having an automatic focusing function and selects at least a single mode of another mode, such as a continuous servo mode or a manual mode. The enable-signal generating means generates an enable-signal when the mode selection switch selects the single mode after a photographic lens having no automatic focusing function has been mounted on the camera body. The logic circuit executes the logic operations of the enable signal and a detection output signal derived from a decision means for deciding whether the image of a subject is sharply focused or out-of-focus, thereby delivering a shutter driving signal. The shutter driving circuit drives a shutter in response to the shutter driving signal derived from the logic circuit.

  • Patent number: 4949115
Abstract: An automatic focusing projector has a reflector which includes a semispherical mirror and a semielliptical mirror in combination, and a contrast chart having a contrast pattern associated with the reflector. The first focal point of the semielliptical mirror is identical to the center of the semispherical mirror. The contrast pattern is located between the first and second focal points of the semielliptical mirror. A light source is provided in the vicinity of the first focal point of the semielliptical mirror. The light source can be a white light source, and a colored filter can be positioned forwardly of a projecting lens which forms part of the projector in order to pass light having a wavelength region of low luminosity in which a human eye is virtually insensitive.

  • Patent number: 4908644
Abstract: A filtering device for carrying out a filtering process in a space domain of image data derived from an external visual image input means and then delivering control information to a controlled driving device with the filtering device containing fundamental operator generation device for generating fundamental operators within the same fundamental operator series, and a filtering processing device for carrying out a convolution of a fundamental operator with an image data array and conducting a sequential series of such convolutions with varying input data based upon data detected at the output of the filter processing, so that the sequential convolution attains an effect equivalent to that attained by the direct convolution of the initial image data array with an expanded operator.

  • Patent number: 4897683
Abstract: A method for use in an automatic focusing camera for driving a focusing lens to a focused position in which the speed is changed in decreasing incremental steps as the lens approaches the focused position and the speed is made independent of changes in ambient temperature or the orientation of the camera relative to the direction of gravitational force. The speed of the lens is controlled in accordance with duty ratio data prestored in a memory and which is applied to control the duty ratio of a drive signal to a motor employed to position the focusing lens. A correction value for correcting for the effects of changes in ambient temperature is obtained prior to the start of the focusing operation and applied to correct the duty ratio of the drive signal during the actual focusing operation.

  • Patent number: 4890133
Abstract: In an autofocus camera, at least one lens of a photographing lens system serves as a focus lens which is reciprocatively moved by a drive unit along a predetermined optical path. A detector detects a position of the focus lens in the lens system. On the basis of the detected position, a calculator calculates a correction amount of a spherical aberration of the lens system. A controller controls the drive unit on the basis of the calculated correction amount so as to cause the drive unit to move the focus lens to a position where the spherical aberration of the lens system is corrected.
