  • Patent number: 4956639
Abstract: A display data processing device for processing bar code data displayed on a display screen such as a television monitor by an interlaced scanning process includes a photosensor for reading bar code data displayed on the screen, a counter circuit for counting the coded data bits read by the photosensor means to determine whether the data is displayed by an odd-number field or an even-number field and which produces a signal corresponding to the result of the determination. This signal is used in conjunction with a plurality of timer circuits which provide signals corresponding to the duration of odd and even number field scanning periods to ensure accurate storing of data in a shift register which is provided with the output signals of the photosensor.

  • Patent number: 4901163
Abstract: An image reader of manual scan type for a portable copier is disclosed. The image reader comprises a reading head for scanning a document manually, memory means for storing image data read by the reading head, write control means for writing said image data into the memory means and a printer. The image reader further comprises image data processing means for adjusting image data obtained by the image sensor so as to form a noise free image upon writing image data into the memory means. Also the image data processing means operates to delete image data of a reference line indicative of a manual scan starting position.

  • Patent number: 4887227
Abstract: An image input processor having a detector which detects whether or not the rate of the width of a character or characters are cut off from the read character information with respect to the readable width being over a predetermined value. Also, the image input processor has a printer which prints the cut-off character or characters when the detected rate is over the predetermined value, and prohibits printing of the cut-off character or characters when the detected rate is less than the predetermined value. Whereby necessary information and unnecessary information can be distinguished from each other based on the degree of the read image information that is cut off.

  • Patent number: 4763340
Abstract: A capacitive type coupling data transmission system for portable electronic apparatus is comprised of an input circuit, a capacitance changing circuit, a transmitting circuit capacitively coupled to, a receiving circuit, and a detecting circuit for detecting any change in the capacitance changing circuit. A data signal to be transmitted is inputted into the input circuit. Based on the value of an inputted binary digital data signal, the capacitance of the capacitance changing circuit is changed. The capacitance change is capacitively transmitted from the transmitting circuit to the receiving circuit and detected thereat. The detecting circuit may be an oscillator circuit, a an RC differentiating circuit, or an RC integrating circuit.

  • Patent number: 4442342
Abstract: There is disclosed a print density control for use in a thermal printer, which control is responsive to variation in a supply voltage for assuring a uniform print density. The control includes a voltage-to-frequency converter for varying the frequency of an output signal in accordance with the amplitude of the supply voltage to the print head. An enabling voltage is applied to the print head until a count characteristic of the frequency of the output signal from the voltage-to-frequency converter reaches a predetermined value. By controlling the conduction duration of the print head in response to variations in the supply voltage, the thermal energy conveyed from the print head to a heat sensitive sheet is fixed to thereby assure uniform print density.
