  • Patent number: 7097318
Abstract: A mobile phone provided with lighting devices capable of capturing not only a still image but also a moving image in the dark. When a user sets the lighting of a light emitting section to ON at the time of capturing an image, the light emitting section is controlled so as to illuminate a subject for the most suitable time for capturing the image regardless of capturing a still image or moving image. Accordingly, it becomes possible to capture an image in the dark successfully. Moreover, the mobile phone can be used as a flashlight by continuously turning on the light emitting section that would be used when capturing an image. Accordingly, the mobile phone may be used for lighting when finding a keyhole, searching for something, etc. in the dark.

  • Patent number: 6690925
Abstract: In a portable telephone which transmits and receives data having at least one of a voice signal and an image datum which are radio signals, the controlling device controls an amplifier so that a user can hear, at a first state that an ear is not near to a speaker, the voice from the speaker when the data from a base station includes a discrimination datum which represents the image datum. The controlling device controls the amplifier so that the user can hear, at a second state that the ear is near to the speaker, the voice from the speaker when the data from the base station does not include the discrimination datum which represents the image datum.

  • Patent number: 4768220
Abstract: In a channel selecting device which is for use in a station of a multichannel access radio communication system comprising that station and a plurality of other stations, a control channel, and a predetermined number of speech channels and which includes a channel selector (11, 12, and 14) for selecting one of the speech channels as a selected channel on starting communication with a specific station of the system, a channel detecting arrangement (11, 12, and 14) is coupled to the control channel to detect channel codes of busy channels which are rendered busy among the speech channels by at least two of the other stations. The channel detecting arrangement is operable while the first-mentioned station is in an idle state. A memory unit (30) is coupled to the channel detecting arrangement and stores the channel codes of the busy channels. The channel selector is coupled to the memory unit to select the selected channel from idle channels which are other than the busy channels.

  • Patent number: 4677688
Abstract: A radio transceiver, improved in that an antenna switching circuit is so connected between an antenna and the transmitting and receiving sections of the transceiver that a filter for removing spurious emission components from a transmitted wave is connected only to the transmitting section of the transceiver, whereby insertion loss of a received wave is avoided.

  • Patent number: 4673892
Abstract: A frequency synthesizer applicable to a radio communication equipment includes a phase comparator adapted to produce a voltage representative of a difference in phase between outputs of a variable and a fixed frequency dividers. The output of the phase comparator is applied through a switch and a low pass filter to a voltage controlled oscillator. A reset circuit produces a reset signal interlocked with a power source of the synthesizer. The variable and the fixed frequency dividers are reset by the reset signal while the switch is closed after the generation of the reset signal and opened upon turn-off of the power source.

  • Patent number: 4152218
Abstract: Apparatus for the distillation of sea water and desulfurization has a vessel directly contacting waste gases exhausting from a boiler with sea water for absorbing sulfur oxides contained within the waste gases, an oxidation device to convert the sulfites that are produced by absorption of the sulfur oxide into sulfates through a catalytic action of metallic ions in the sea water, a decarbonization device, a deaerator, and a heating type distillation apparatus that uses the sea water used for the desulfurization as supplementary water. The oxidation, desulfurization and the separation of air are processes conducted continuously.
