  • Patent number: 6779190
Abstract: The disk carrier device comprises a carrier roller having a tapered surface with the diameter thereof becoming smaller gradually from the opposite ends towards the center, and a disk guide member integrally formed with a pair of tilted protrusions in the front and rear parts thereof which become gradually lower from the opposite ends towards the center. It is constructed such that the carrier roller is arranged between the pair of tilted protrusions to resiliently clamp the disk between the both tilted protrusions and the carrier roller to thereby carry the disk by the rotation of the carrier roller.

  • Patent number: 6772426
Abstract: The disk carrier device of the present invention comprises a carrier gear rotation-driven by a motor, control members driven by the motor via this carrier gear, for moving in one direction or in the other direction according to the direction of rotation of the motor, and a transmission gear which transmits the rotation of the motor to a feed roller. A rotation control section and a roller position control section are provided in the control member, respectively. At the time of ejecting the disk, with the movement of the control member, the feed roller is made to approach the disk guide by the roller position control section, and then the transmission gear is shifted to the transmission position by the rotation control section.

  • Patent number: 6751180
Abstract: When a roller holder attached to a floating chassis of the disk player rotates to raise a carrier roller from a disk non-carrying position to a disk carrying position, a convex portion of the roller holder is engaged with concave portions of the main chassis from above so as to fix the floating chassis to the main chassis in the back and forth directions as well as the right and left directions. The roller holder further rotates about a fulcrum to raise the floating chassis. As a result, the floating chassis is made to abut against another part of the main chassis from below to fix the floating chassis to the main chassis in the vertical direction.

  • Patent number: 6330216
Abstract: Provision of a recording medium transfer apparatus, which uses a one-direction motor as a drive source and is simple in construction and inexpensive. The apparatus comprises a rotation member driven for rotation by the one-direction motor, an idler gear, and transfer means. The rotation member has a partial gear and a push member. The partial gear is held in mesh with the idler gear only during rotation of the rotation member for a predetermined angle. The transfer means has a gear portion in mesh with the idler gear and a contact portion. The transfer means is caused, with the contact portion thereof pushed by the push member, to undergo rocking movement in one direction and, after separation of the push member from the contact portion, the transfer means is rocked in the other direction with the partial gear in mesh with the idler gear. The recording medium is thus reciprocally transferred by the transfer means with reciprocal rocking movement thereof caused during one rotation of the rotation member.

  • Patent number: 6201782
Abstract: Provision of a disc loading apparatus for a disc player, which permits a disc being inserted to be safely pulled out without being held between a turntable and a clamper. A clamper supporting member having an engagement portion carries the clamper, and a stopper is disposed on the line of movement of the engagement portion. The stopper is normally at a preventing position of being in contact with the engagement portion to prevent the clamper from approaching the turntable. When a disc has been inserted up to a position that it can be held on the turntable, it pushes the stopper to an approach allowable position to allow the clamper to approach the turntable. When the clamper approaches the turntable, the stopper is pushed by the engagement portion of the clamper supporting member to a retreated position, at which the stopper is out of contact with the disc.

  • Patent number: 6084838
Abstract: Provision of a disc transfer apparatus for a disc player, which is free from damage to disc, small in size and simple in construction. A push-back member and a main push member are rockably mounted on one side of the passage of disc, and a disc guide is provided on the other side of the passage of the disc. The push-back member and the main push member are coupled together by a cam mechanism, and the push-back member is reciprocally driven by a driving means. The disc is transferred to a playing portion by pushing its edge with the main push member, and is transferred from the playing portion toward a disc insertion slot by pushing its edge with the push-basc member.

  • Patent number: 5764612
Abstract: A disc playing apparatus is disclosed, which is simple, small in size and can be manufactured at a low cost of manufacture. In this disc playing apparatus, a first chassis with left and right movable guides and a second chassis with a disc drive and a playing unit are linked together such that they can be brought toward and away from each other. The movable guides are separated from a disc when the two chassis are brought toward each other, and are brought to a position to engage with the disc when the two chassis are brought away from each other. A selective close/away holding mechanism holds the two chassis in a close-to-each-other state or an away-from-each-other state. The two chassis are brought toward each other when the disc is inserted while pushing the selective close/away holding mechanism. The disc is pushed by the mechanism when the two chassis are brought away from each other by an eject lever.
