  • Publication number: 20100045243
Abstract: Reduction of wasteful power consumption is envisaged. A power supply function-equipped electronic apparatus (10) is configured to be capable of supplying power to a battery device (20) incorporating a battery (21) by use of a cable (30) connecting the apparatus (10) with the device (20). A detection section (13) detects whether charging of the battery (21) incorporated in the battery device (20) is complete through the cable (30). When charging of the battery (21) is detected to be complete, a power control section (12) turns off power of the power supply function-equipped electronic apparatus (10). This invention can be applied illustratively to gaming machines and the like each composed of a gaming machine body and its controller.

  • Patent number: 7669126
Abstract: A plurality of identification miniature images for to-be-replayed objects is displayed simultaneously on a manipulating-function menu screen with taking one of the to-be-replayed objects corresponding to one of the identification miniature images in a predetermined position as a to-be-replayed object of interest. There are displayed a first group of a plurality of manipulating-function items for the respective to-be-replayed objects and a second group of a plurality of manipulating-function items related to a plurality of to-be-replayed objects. While any one of the manipulating-function items included in the first group is being selected, the identification miniature image corresponding to the to-be-replayed object of interest is displayed for differentiation from the other identification miniature images.

  • Publication number: 20090066706
Abstract: The present multi-processor system performs information processing suitably. The system can receive, reproduce and record a variety of image contents. By comprising a powerful CPU in the multi-processors, a plurality of pieces of large image data, such as high definition image data or the like, can be processed simultaneously in parallel, which was difficult conventionally. Since task processing, such as demodulation processing or the like, is assigned respectively in view of the remaining processing capacity of each of the plurality of processors, the system can reproduce contents efficiently. By sharing roles, a plurality of different contents, such as an image, a voice, or the like can be processed simultaneously and can be displayed or reproduced at a desired timing.

  • Publication number: 20080141172
Abstract: Favorable visual appearance and ease of operation are required in the user interface of digital home appliances using a television screen. An array of function icons including multiple function icons representing respective playing functions and an array of content icons including multiple content icons representing items of contents that can be played are displayed practically at the center of an on-screen menu such that the arrays intersect. A moving image icon, which is a function icon displayed in an area of intersection in which the array of function icons and the array of content icons intersect, is highlighted by a color different from that of the other function icons and by an enlarged view. An icon in focus immediately below the moving image icon is also displayed in an expanded view. If an external appliance is connected via a network, contents in the external appliance are also displayed in the array of content icons.

  • Patent number: 7275987
Abstract: Objects which are created in conformity with the data format of objects to be handled in a virtual world are offered to users on the terminal computers of the users independently of the virtual world. The users transmit the offered objects to a server computer which generates the virtual world, while the server computer stores these objects in association with the operators. Since these objects are recorded in a format which can be interpreted by the server computer for generating the virtual world, they can be handled in the virtual world in the same manner as the other objects which have been defined in the virtual world beforehand. Thus, the users are permitted to use in the virtual world objects which are different from the objects which were defined in the virtual world beforehand.

  • Publication number: 20040054667
Abstract: A control unit 9 examines the update status of each Web site 11 which are stored as bookmarks in a URL memory 6, the congestion status of a network 2, and the congestion status of a network server apparatus 13 of a user's provider and the like. The control unit 9, based on this examination result, arranges an object corresponding to that Web site by changing the distance (depth) from the viewpoint in accordance with the response of the Web site 11, and displays by changing the height of the object according to the update status. Furthermore, the control unit 9 displays by changing the patterns of each object in accordance with the congestion status of the Web site which corresponds to that object, and displays by changing the weather of virtual space in accordance with the busy status of the network 2. This allows image display of the update status of the Web site to which a bookmark is attached, and the congestion status of the network and the like by using predetermined objects.

  • Publication number: 20040021663
Abstract: A three dimensional space is displayed on a two-dimensional display screen, a coordinate value, and a pressing force value of the point within the two-dimensional display screen designated by a user are detected, and a position within the three-dimensional space is specified according to the coordinate value and passing force value. This means it is possible for a user to easily designate an arbitrary point within a three-dimensional space by designating a point on a two-dimensional display screen. Namely, it is possible to easily designate an arbitrary point within a three-dimensional space by natural operation that is close to the operation in the real world with high accuracy.
