  • Publication number: 20130257811
Abstract: A projector 22 projects video onto a surface of an infrared light reflection member 26 following control by a PC 20. A detection unit 24 includes an infrared light emitter 28 and a depth camera 30. Since the infrared light which is reflected by the infrared light reflection member 26 does not return to the depth camera 30, the infrared light reflection member 26 is an area whose distance is unmeasurable. Further, a distance can be obtained outside the infrared light reflection member 26 since the infrared light is diffusely reflected. This allows obtainment of the relative relationship between the position of an outer periphery of the infrared light reflection member 26 and the position of an object 32. Accordingly, a touched position can be calculated, and a process on the basis of that is possible.

  • Publication number: 20130009914
Abstract: With respect to a coordinate input device comprising an operation detection plane at a position in front of a display surface or projection surface, contact with the display surface or projection surface, or the absence thereof, by an input object having a round tip is accurately determined. The coordinate input device provided comprises: processing means that detects a size of the input object blocking detection light that travels along the operation detection plane; processing means that generates a down event of the input object when, after blockage of the detection light is initially detected, it is detected that the size has become greater than a first threshold; and processing means that generates an up event of the input object when, following detection of a maximum value of the size, it is detected that the size has become smaller than a second threshold.

  • Patent number: 5913221
Abstract: Disclosed is the system for editing characters and graphics through a computer with a data entered via the pen point entry procedure. The system comprises the input device for entering the data, the data processor for processing the data entered, the data storage for storing the data entered, the display device for displaying the display data, and the pen through which the data is entered. With this system, information containing characters and graphics as well as the editing request in a mixed manner can be entered through pen points without paying any consciousness to the entry of commands, as well as the characters, graphics and the commands can be subjected to processing.

  • Patent number: 5867596
Abstract: A diagram recognizing system is capable of automatically recognizing a diagram prepared, for example, through a manual operation or through drawing software, independently from a CASE tool or the like, and delivering a recognized logic to the CASE tool or the like without the aid of any manual operation. A recognizing rule for recognizing the diagram as the object of recognition is entered and stored. A symbol, a connecting line, a character string, and a relationship of connection between the symbols, each structuring the diagram, are recognized on the basis of the recognizing rule by a diagram recognizing means. Logical data, indicative of the kind of each of the symbols, the character string, and the relationship of connection between the symbols, are generated, and the logical data are converted into and generated as a predetermined file type so as to be delivered directly to the CASE tool or the like.
