Publication number: 20180297462Abstract: A control apparatus sets an upper limit guard value to a base value when the MG provides torque assist to thereby limit the command value for the MG. Then, the control apparatus limits the command value for the MG using the upper limit guard value to limit the output of the MG. If an accelerator opening or the change rate thereof is not less than a predetermined value, the control apparatus corrects the upper limit guard value. The correction is made such that the larger accelerator opening or a larger change rate thereof causes the upper limit guard value to be larger to accomplish higher output. Similarly, if the SOC of the battery is not less than a predetermined value, the control apparatus corrects the upper limit guard value. If the engine speed is not less than a predetermined value, the control apparatus corrects the upper limit guard value.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 14, 2016Publication date: October 18, 2018Applicant: DENSO CORPORATIONInventors: Kohei SAITO, Shigeru MAEDA

Publication number: 20180043892Abstract: A vehicle control device turns off a clutch to put a vehicle into an inertia operation state in response to a predetermined executing condition being met, and turns on the clutch to terminate the inertia operation state in response to a predetermined terminating condition being met during the inertia operation. The vehicle control device includes a deceleration degree calculating device, a determination device, and an operation control device. The deceleration degree calculating device calculates an actual deceleration degree. The determination device determines whether the actual deceleration degree is greater than a threshold value defined on the basis of a deceleration degree of the vehicle in an accelerator-off and clutch-on state. The operation control device terminates or maintains the inertia operation depending on a condition of the actual deceleration degree.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 25, 2016Publication date: February 15, 2018Applicant: DENSO CORPORATIONInventors: Shigeru MAEDA, Akira KATO

Publication number: 20160363109Abstract: In a system for controlling an engine that ignites an air-fuel mixture to generate torque, a power generator, and a secondary battery is chargeable by the power generator. An apparatus controls the engine to adjust an actual point of ignition timing of the air-fuel mixture to a desired point of the ignition timing. The apparatus causes the power generator to generate electric power based on output torque of the engine. The output torque of the engine is generated while the actual point of the ignition timing is set to the desired point of the ignition timing. The apparatus adjusts the amount of the electric power generated by the power generator while the actual point of the ignition timing of the engine is set to the desired point of the ignition timing, thus changing the output torque of the engine.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 9, 2016Publication date: December 15, 2016Inventors: Toshikazu AKITA, Shigeru MAEDA, Tomohisa OSE, Ikuro HASHIMOTO

Patent number: 8900378Abstract: A structural material is provided, the strength and toughness of which are well-balanced at a high level, suitable in particular for seat frames in automobiles, aircrafts and the like. Specifically disclosed is a structural material produced by integrally joining thin steel members in a part thereof and, after joining, thermally heating a part thereof so that the heat-treated part differs from the other parts in strength and toughness. Unlike a structural material, the strength of which as a whole has been uniformly improved by heat treatment, the above-described structural material consists of a part having a high strength and a part having low strength. Thus, a structural material, the strength and toughness of which are well-balanced at a high level can be obtained. Since the strength and toughness are well-balanced at a high level, the structural material is suitable particularly for seat frames in automobiles, aircrafts and the like.Type: GrantFiled: February 22, 2010Date of Patent: December 2, 2014Assignee: Delta Tooling Co., Ltd.Inventors: Etsunori Fujita, Yumi Ogura, Seiji Kawasaki, Shigeyuki Kojima, Soichi Makita, Shigeru Maeda, Hideyuki Yamane, Seiya Yoshida
