  • Patent number: 7212198
Abstract: The invention provides a simulation system and method having an image generating function that can visualize the behavior of an object of analysis in real time. The behavior of the object of analysis is divided into a plurality of subspaces, and is visualized as subspace images by an MP method by performing simulation computations for the respective subspaces at nodes 431 to 438. The subspace images are sent to a pipelined composer 44 where the images are blended together by considering occlusion relationships determined by reference to a viewpoint by a BSP method. The resulting composited image is corrected for distortion at a server 40 by using a texture mapping function, and is displayed on a display apparatus 41.

  • Publication number: 20060007245
Abstract: The present invention provides an image composing apparatus that can composite images at high speed and in which the apparatus configuration can be easily expanded as the number of images to be composed increases. Sub-images generated by node computers are synchronized each other by a synchronizing section. Then, each pair of synchronized sub-image data is composed into a single sub-image in a first-layer image composing section, comprising a plurality of image composing circuits each for composing two sub-images, and the resulting sub-images are composed iteratively through a second-layer image composing section, a third-layer image composing section, and so on, that have the same configuration as the first-layer image composing section.

  • Publication number: 20030117394
Abstract: A simulator having a video generating function of creating a video of the behavior of an object to be analyzed in real time and a simulating method are disclosed. The behavior of an object to be analyzed is divided into partial spaces. Each partial space is subjected to simulation calculation by nodes (431 to 438) and visualized into a partial video by applying an MP method. The partial videos are sent to a composer (44) of a pipeline structure and mixed taking the concealment/exhibition relationship into consideration using the viewpoint determined by the BSP method as a reference. The mixed video is subject to distortion correction by using a texture mapping function by a server (40) and displayed on a display unit (41).

  • Patent number: 6580936
Abstract: The present invention scanes a plurality of MRI images while varying conditions for a sample usable in color-determination and MRI imaging, subjects the image data to a first independent component analysis to decompose the data into L independent component images, selects N points on the sample to create a training sample that is a set of L (typically three) independent-component image luminances and color components. This generates as many transfer functions as the color components which output one color component for an arbitrary combination of the L independent-component image luminances. For a colored MRI generating object a plurality of MRI images are scanned while varying conditions, and a second independent component analysis on the MRI images accomplishes generating L independent component images. A calibration process scaling luminance is executed and the transfer functions are applied to the calibrated independent component images to obtain a multichannel MRI color image.
