  • Patent number: 8682414
Abstract: A radiation control method includes: calculating degrees of similarity corresponding to matching target areas; calculating a specific image position where a specific image area corresponding to a maximum value of the degrees of similarity out of the matching target areas is positioned in a radiographic image; and calculating a drive amount with which a therapeutic radiation ray irradiation device is driven, based on the specific image position. Further, calculating one degree of similarity corresponding to one matching target region out of the degrees of similarity includes: referring to a template table in which the matching target areas are associated with sets of templates to calculate a set of templates corresponding to the one matching target area out of the sets of templates; and detecting, from the set of templates, a similar template most similar to a matching target image displayed in the one matching target area of the radiographic image.

Abstract: A radiation therapy apparatus control method includes: calculating a plurality of degrees of similarity corresponding to a plurality of matching target areas based on a radiographic image; calculating a specific image position where a specific image area corresponding to a maximum value of the degrees of similarity out of the matching target areas is positioned in the radiographic image; and calculating a drive amount with which a therapeutic radiation ray irradiation device is driven, based on the specific image position.

  • Patent number: 6472810
Abstract: A light device includes a shielding plate (2) having an opening (2H) of a rectangular cross-sectional configuration and placed over an optical window retainer (15). The shielding plate (2) is placed so that an opening wall surface (2HS) thereof is positioned on an optical path (Zr(x)) of light emerging from an optical window (14) at a usable angle (&thgr;e) and that a half width (Xu) of the opening (2H) satisfies Xu=u/cot(&thgr;e)+t×sin(&thgr;e)/sgrt(ng2−sin2(&thgr;e))+s. The optical window retainer (15) is placed in a region outside a boundary line given as Zh(x)=±(1×tan(&thgr;e)(x±Xu)+u (plus (+) when x≦−Xu; minus (−) when x≧Xu) and also in aregion outside the optical path (Zr(x)). The light source device suppresses an uneven illuminance distribution of exposure light resulting from superimposition of light scattered from the opening wall surface of the optical window retainer upon the exposure light.

  • Patent number: 6469842
Abstract: An apparatus for patterning a phosphor screen on the faceplate of a cathode-ray tube has a main lens that refracts light to simulate electron-beam trajectories. The main lens includes a fixed lens with a curved surface, and at least one replaceable flat element. The apparatus also has at least one sub-lens, with a curved surface, that can be substituted for the flat element to compensate for inaccurate simulation of the electron-beam trajectories. The flat element and the sub-lens have the same thickness, so that substitution of the one for the other does not produce an unintended shifting of light paths. Preferred sub-lenses include lenses having surfaces described by a bilaterally symmetric cosine function, and by a product of a sine function and a linear function.

  • Patent number: 5128469
Abstract: This disclosure describes a process for the preparation of 1,5-benzothiazepinone derivatives. The process involves the use of sulfonic acids as catalysts to effect ring closure to form the 1,5-benzothiazepinone ring. The resulting compounds have well known pharmaceutical properties.
