In a case where it is determined that the stationary object is another vehicle, a judgment condition easing unit enlarges a margin area that is used when determining the need for collision avoidance support. When the margin area is enlarged, the probability for a user's own vehicle to interfere with the margin area increases. Stated otherwise, it becomes easier for a collision avoidance determining unit to determine that the collision avoidance support is needed.
