  • Publication number: 20130244284
Abstract: Solid biomass having a moisture content in a range of 30 to 95 mass % is brought into contact with ammonia gas at a pressure in a range of 0.5 to 4 MPa and held at 50 to 200 degrees C. Subsequently, the solid biomass is rapidly decompressed to be blasted. The ammonia gas evaporated by decompression is recovered and recycled. The ammonia gas can be brought into contact with the entire solid biomass evenly and in a short time. Since absorption heat of the ammonia gas is generated, energy consumption required for additional heating can be reduced.

  • Patent number: 6070426
Abstract: An evaporative-cooling condensation type ammonia refrigeration unit with leaked ammonia gas removing means is provided. Recovery of a leaked ammonia gas is conducted taking advantage of a high solubility of ammonia in water, wherein the leaked ammonia gas is dissolved in a cooling water used for an evaporative condenser. The construction of the unit is characterized by including an ammonia absorptive structure in a gas/liquid countercurrent mode provided in a space on the lower side of the evaporative condenser accommodated in an upper chamber.

  • Patent number: 5347831
Abstract: The present inventions are intended to improve heat efficiency of a refrigeration system having plural refrigerating cycles of different evaporating or condensing temperatures typically used in breweries. Each of main lines of different evaporating temperatures are connected with each of suction lines to a compressor respectively, to enable the system to save energy and to establish a back-up system of compressors. A different condensing temperature system having a common refrigerant source is provided with refrigerant transferring means to transfer refrigerant from an refrigerant excess cycle to an refrigerant insufficiency cycle.
