  • Patent number: 5101308
Abstract: A tape reel for a magnetic tape cassette can accurately hold upper and lower reel flanges parallel to each other. The tape reel for a magnetic tape cassette comprises a reel hub assembly including a first reel flange and a cylindrical reel hub integral with the first reel flange and extending from the center of the first flange. The cylindrical reel hub has a support surface at the end remote from the first reel flange onto which to mount a second reel flange. A fastener and a second reel support projection are formed on the support surface of the reel hub. The fastener fastens the second reel flange on the support surface. The second reel support projection is formed on the support surface. The second reel flange support projection has a plane opposing the second reel flange accurately parallel to the first reel flange.

  • Patent number: 4846419
Abstract: A cassette reel for use with a video cassette having an upper flange formed of a transparent plate and a plurality of indicators for a tape volume, each of the indicators being formed of a plurality of crimped portions provided on the outer surface of the upper flange in the diametrical direction thereof, wherein the innermost crimped portions of the plurality of indicators are made higher than other crimped portions, so that when the cassette reels are stacked up and transported for the assembly, the transparent portion of the cassette reel can be protected from being damaged and the commercial value of the cassette reel can be increased without being designed awkwardly.

  • Patent number: 4637851
Abstract: A method is proposed for the preparation of a laminate with improved mechanical strength such as the cloth-to-cloth adhesive bonding strength using a prepreg based on a fabric sheet of aromatic polyamide fibers and an adhesive preferably selected from polyimide-based and epoxy resin-based adhesives, in which the fabric sheet is pretreated by exposure to low-temperature plasma of preferably a gas mixture composed of oxygen and nitrogen under a reduced pressure of 0.5 to 20 Torr. The improvement is derived presumably from the increase in the wettability and affinity of the fibers to the adhesive as is suggested by the remarkable increase of adhesive pick-up.
