  • Patent number: 11316998
Abstract: An image processing apparatus includes a first processor and a second processor. The first processor has a power saving function. The second processor is configured to consume less power than the first processor during operation. When the first processor stopped by the power saving function is activated in response to reception of a network packet, the first processor determines an operating frequency of the first processor in accordance with a type of the network packet.

  • Publication number: 20200285300
Abstract: An activation control device includes: a main CPU to be activated at a time based on a set value of an interrupt timer or when an activation factor occurs; and a sub-CPU. The main CPU adjusts the set value such that a total active time of the main CPU per predetermined time approaches a target active time, and based on a determination that adjustment of the set value alone cannot make the total active time approach the target active time, controls not to activate the main CPU for at least a part of the activation factors.

  • Patent number: 9426311
Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes: an expansion/contraction ratio calculation unit that calculates a value of a ratio of expansion or contraction of a printing medium at a time of printing a second surface as compared with a time of printing a first surface; a storage control unit that causes an NVRAM to hold the calculated value of the ratio of expansion or contraction; and a magnification correcting unit that corrects magnification of an image on the second surface using a newly calculated value of the ratio when a difference between the newly calculated value and a value that has been held by the NVRAM until the new value is calculated is within a predetermined range, and corrects the magnification of the image on the second surface using a value closer to 0 than the newly calculated value when the difference exceeds the predetermined range.

  • Patent number: 9020374
Abstract: A developer transport unit which includes an intra-vessel transporting device to transport developer in a developer storage vessel to an ejection unit. The developer storage vessel is detachably attached at one end to an ejection unit. There is a transport/supply device to transport the developer from the ejection unit to a sub-storage vessel, and an intermediate-developer amount detector to obtain an amount of developer present in the sub-storage vessel. Further, there is a control unit to control driving of the intra-vessel transporting device and the transport/supply device.

  • Patent number: 7792441
Abstract: An image formation apparatus is disclosed. The image formation apparatus includes a transfer effectiveness detector that further includes a computing unit for converting a sensor output voltage into a toner adhesion amount, and a transfer effectiveness detecting unit for obtaining transfer effectiveness by comparing a toner adhesion amount Td on a photo conductor with a toner adhesion amount Tb on a middle transfer object. Here, the toner adhesion amount Td is obtained by the computing unit converting an output of a photo conductor image detection unit, and the toner adhesion amount Tb is obtained by the computing unit converting an output of a middle transfer object image detection unit. When the transfer effectiveness detection unit determines that an abnormality is present in the transfer, whether the abnormality is due to decreased development capacity or due to decreased transfer effectiveness can be determined.
