    Abstract: An electronic apparatus having a printer which can print at a speed according to a key operating speed of the user. A keyboard section KB includes: numeric keys for the user to input numeric data; function keys such as four-arithmetical operating keys such as addition "+", subtraction "-", multiplication ".times.", division ".div.". and total "="; and function keys such as clear key "C", memory key "M+", and the like which are set so as not to perform the printing, where the printing speed of the printer PR is variable. In an arithmetic computation unit AC, a period of time which is required after the numeric key of the keyboard KB was first operated until the function key accompanied with the printing operation is operated is divided by the number of key operation times, obtaining the average value of the key operation time intervals. The printing speed of the printer PR is controlled in accordance with the average operation time interval.

    Abstract: In a printing hammer driving system, there is provided a character-bearing member having a plurality of identical characters disposed in mutually offset relationship in each of lines. The characters in each of the lines differ from those in any other line. A group of hammers is disposed in opposed relationship with the character-bearing member for impacting the characters thereon. A group of driving circuits is connected to the group of hammers for driving respective ones of the hammers. A group of gates is connected to the inputs of the group of driving circuits for selecting the hammers. Each of the gates has at least two input terminals. Memory means are provided which each have the output thereof connected to one of the input terminals of each gate for storing print digit information. Selector means are provided which each are connected to the other input terminal of each gate for selecting one or more of the gates.

    Abstract: There is provided an electronic calculator with a printer which is capable of feeding any desired number of lines of a recording medium by keeping the operation execution instructin key depressed, thereby to realize both improvement of operability and elimination of the paper feed key. Also, even if said instruction key is not kept pushed down, it is possible to feed more than three lines of the recording medium by a one-tough operation. Further, by previously setting the quantity to be fed before operation, it is possible to automatically stop feed of the recording medium, which is fed by the key operation, upon feed of the predetermined quantity of the recording medium. Moreover, space feed may be automatically or artificially eliminated to improve the continuous printing output speed.
