  • Patent number: 4817484
Abstract: An electronic stringed instrument includes a mode selecting section for selectively setting a normal play mode and at least one other selection mode. When picking of a string under a pitch designation operation status is performed after the normal play mode is selected by the mode selecting section, generation of a musical tone with the designated pitch can be started. When picking of a string also under the pitch designation operation status is performed after another selection mode is selected by the mode selecting section, a desired musical tone parameter such as a timbre corresponding to the designated pitch or a rhythm pattern can be easily set. The content of the set musical tone parameter can be confirmed by a sound.

  • Patent number: 4781097
Abstract: A plurality of drum pads are each provided with a respective piezoelectric pick-up. The output of each piezoelectric pick-up is fed to a corresponding envelope-extracting circuit. The envelope signal extracted by the envelope-extracting circuit is converted by an A/D converter into a digital signal which is fed to a CPU. The CPU feeds a tone designation signal to a tone generator unit according to parameter data from a parameter data setter and the digital signals noted above, thereby causing generation of a corresponding drum sound.

  • Patent number: 4544858
Abstract: A mechanism for converting a weight into a frequency by means of a tuning fork vibrator having a pair of elongated plate-like vibrating strips extending in parallel with each other, a lever unit with a power pivot, fulcrum pivot and a load pivot, and a base portion, both ends of the tuning fork vibrator being coupled with the power pivot of the lever unit and the base portion, respectively by means of thin plate-like members. The weight to be converted is applied to the load pivot of the lever unit and is transferred to the tuning fork vibrator by means of the lever unit. All the parts of the mechanism are formed integrally from a single plate.

  • Patent number: 4271743
Abstract: An envelope signal generator which has a key depression/release signal generator for producing different output levels in response to key depression and key release, a switching circuit which is set to a first output level upon key depression and set to a second output level when the stored output level of an analog memory has reached a certain value, a preset circuit for outputting at least a level setting voltage and first and second time constant setting voltages relating to an envelope, a priority selector which is supplied with the key depression/release signal generator output, the switching circuit output and the level setting voltage and selects them in a predetermined order of priority, a first circuit for converting into a current the output from a voltage controlled amplifier supplied with the analog memory output and controlled by the first time constant setting voltage, a second circuit for converting into a current the output from a voltage controlled amplifier supplied with the analog memory ou

  • Patent number: 4077293
Abstract: A sample hold arrangement for a key signal in an electronic musical instrument in which a keyboard circuit generates a voltage corresponding to a depressed key. The keyboard circuit is connected at its output terminal to an input terminal of a comparator. An output terminal of the comparator is connected to a memory capacitor and a buffer circuit through two gates connected in a series with one another. An output terminal of the buffer circuit is connected, in turn, to a second input terminal of the comparator, and one of the two gates is connected with its control electrode to a detection circuit. A circuit closing signal is generated by the detection circuit when the potentials of the two input terminals of the comparator become substantially equal. The other one of the two gates is connected with its control electrode to an output terminal of a keying signal generator which generates a keying signal of the keyboard circuit.
