    Abstract: A titanium alloy contains 0.01 to 0.15% by mass of at least one of platinum group elements in total, and the balance being titanium, oxygen, and impurities, wherein, the titanium alloy includes particles of a compound that is made up of at least one of the platinum group elements, titanium, and oxygen, an average size of the particles on a surface of the titanium alloy is 1 ?m or smaller, and a number density of the particles on the surface of the titanium alloy is 25/1000 ?m2 or more. This titanium alloy has a high corrosion resistance and capable of keeping a low contact resistance in comparison with conventional titanium alloys having an equivalent platinum group element content.

    Abstract: An X type electric welding machine with an electrode pressing force that is not susceptible to the wear of electrodes or variation of deflection of gun arms which varies every pressing force. An accurate electrode pressing force can be obtained for an electrode pressing force set by a simple controller. The X type electric welding machine includes at least two gun arms each having electrodes at tip ends thereof which oppose each other. The gun arms are connected to each other at a connection part on which at least one gun arm is rotatably pivoted. A reduction gear is disposed separately from the connection part of the gun arms and a motor is connected to the reduction gear. A power transmission mechanism is provided at an output side of the reduction gear for rotating one of the gun arms, wherein the power transmission mechanism includes a swing arm fixed to an output shaft of the reduction gear and a link formed between the swing arm and one of the gun arms.

    Abstract: A stopper device in a welding robot gun is capable of increasing the amount of movement of the upper arm and reducing the amount of movement of the lower arm or vice versa by adjusting the protruding amount of the stopper bolt from the rear wall of the stopper cylinder inside the stopper cylinder and of preventing the upper and lower arms from moving unstably from the state where the welding gun is open to the state where a pressure cylinder supplies fluid under pressure. The stopper device comprises a cradle, a stopper cylinder having a rod fixed to the cradle, a tip end of the rod connected to a rear end of the upper arm by way of a link wherein the stopper cylinder has a front chamber provided with a fluid supply and discharge port and a rear wall into which an adjustable stopper bolt is screwed so as to protrude deep or slight therefrom inside the stopper cylinder.
