  • Patent number: 5055968
Abstract: A method for producing an information card by printing an electroconductive pattern and a first electrode surface of a battery on a first cover sheet, applying a battery activator onto the first electrode surface, resting an electrolyte-impregnated separator onto the first electrode surface, fixing an IC chip to the electroconductive pattern in a predetermined position, printing a second electrode surface of the battery on a second cover sheet, applying a battery activator onto the second electrode surface, and lapping and sticking the first and second cover sheets together and cutting them into a predetermined size.

  • Patent number: 5008998
Abstract: The invention provides a mounting method by which a flat coil formed by winding an insulator layer and a metal foil sheet in layers can be mounted readily and with certainty on a circuit board. In mounting a flat coil on a circuit board, at first a pair of terminal portions each composed of a layer of solder are formed at a first end portion and a last end portion of the flat coil such that they extend in an axial direction of the coil, and then the coil is disposed on the circuit board such that the terminal portions thereof may be opposed in a perpendicular relationship to connecting faces of a conductor pattern on the circuit board. After then, the coil and the circuit board are heat processed to cause solder material applied to the connecting portions of the conductor pattern to adhere to faces of the terminal portions over the full extent of the axial length of the flat coil to interconnect the connecting faces of the conductor pattern and the terminal portions of the flat coil.

  • Patent number: 4819322
Abstract: A process for producing a flat coil of high reliability and free from the problem of short-circuiting, and capable of high productivity. The process includes steps of forming an insulator layer on a metal foil ribbon, winding the metal foil around a center shaft or mandrel while pressing the insulator layer toward the center shaft to form a rolled up metal foil body. A strip electrode of conductive metal may be integrally attached to the inner or outer periphery of the coil or both to provide electrical connection to the turns. An insulating resin layer may be formed at an outer end of the metal foil, and a metal reinforcing layer can be formed on the outer periphery of the rolled up body other than at the insulating resin layer by electroplating to form a coil block. The rolled up body or coil block is then cut by electric discharge machining in a direction transverse to the center shaft to form flat coils at a predetermined thickness.

  • Patent number: 4107385
Abstract: A magnetic recording medium comprising a base, for example, of a non-magnetic plastic resin, and a magnetic layer coated on the base and composed of a binder with a magnetic powder dispersed therein, is provided with a friction-reducing additive in the magnetic layer constituted by a boron compound obtained by the esterification of boric acid with a polyhydric alcohol having vicinal hydroxyl groups, such as, glycerin. The amount of such boron compound is from 1 to 15, and preferably, from 4 to 10 parts by weight for each 100 parts by weight of the binder. The preferred boron compounds are those including mono- or di-esters of a fatty acid with or without ethylene oxide.

  • Patent number: 4100326
Abstract: A method of preparing a magnetic recording medium, the surface of which has a very smooth magnetic layer. Magnetic paint is coated on a non-magnetic base, which is then passed between calender rolls which comprise a polyurethane roll and a steel roll heated between approximately 40.degree. C. and 200.degree. C. The hardness of the polyurethane roll is greater than approximately 70.degree. in Shore D, and the pressure between the rolls is between approximately 50 Kg/cm and 500 Kg/cm.

  • Patent number: 4007314
Abstract: A magnetic recording medium including a flexible non-magnetic film base and a magnetic layer thereon consisting of magnetizable particles in a resinous binder, the magnetic layer containing or being coated with an organosilicon lubricant compound having the formula:(RCOO).sub.n Si(CH.sub.3).sub.4-nwhere R is a saturated or unsaturated aliphatic group containing from 7 to 17 carbon atoms and n is an integer in the range from 1 to 3. The friction coefficient and the tendency of the powder to come off from the magnetic layer of the magnetic recording medium are reduced.

  • Patent number: 4007313
Abstract: A magnetic recording medium including a flexible non-magnetic film base and a magnetic layer thereon which contains and/or is coated with an organosilicon compound having lubricating properties, said compound having the following formula: ##STR1## WHERE R is a saturated or unsaturated aliphatic group having from 7 to 17 carbon atoms and n is an integer from 1 to 3. The static friction coefficient and the tendency of the magnetic layer to shed powder are both substantially reduced in the improved magnetic recording medium of the present invention.
