  • Patent number: 8366473
Abstract: Front ends of the locking strips (59) of the holder (50) are shifted from each other in a longitudinal direction thereof. Front ends of the locking part receiving parts (37) of a sub-housing (31) are located at different positions in a longitudinal direction thereof. When the holder (50) takes a normal mounting posture relative to the sub-housing (31), all of the locking parts (60) are fitted on the locking part receiving parts (37) corresponding thereto respectively after each of the locking strips (59) performs an elastic operation. Thereby the holder (50) is held by the sub-housing (31). When the holder (50) takes an incorrect mounting posture relative to the sub-housing (31), at least one of the locking parts (60) cannot be fitted on the locking part receiving parts (37) corresponding thereto. Thereby the holder (50) is separable from the sub-housing (31).

  • Publication number: 20120238135
Abstract: A dummy plug (50) includes a sealing portion (51) to be fit into a seal hole (21) in a liquid-tight manner when the dummy plug (50) is mounted into a connector (A). A support (53) is arranged behind the sealing portion (51). Two resilient locking pieces (56) link the rear end of the sealing portion (51) and the front end of the support (53) and engage with retaining portions (34) of a holder (30) when the dummy plug (50) is mounted into the connector (A). A single deformation space (57) is provided between the resilient locking pieces (56) and is shared to permit resilient deformations of the resilient locking pieces (56).

  • Publication number: 20120190242
Abstract: A substrate connection part (4) of each of a plurality of press-fit terminals (3) pulled out of a housing (1) is inserted into a positioning hole (12) of a terminal arrangement member (11) to adjust alignment of the press-fit terminals (3) with respect to through-holes (7) of a substrate (6). The terminal arrangement member (11) is made of a thin resin sheet material. Each positioning hole (12) is sized so that the press-fit terminal (3) is placed in position by inserting a guide portion (9) of the press-fit terminal (3) therein. Slits (13) extend radially out from an opening edge of the positioning hole (12). When a press-fit portion (8) passes through the positioning hole (12), both slits (13) and the positioning hole (12) expand so that the press-fit portion (8) passes smoothly through the positioning hole (12).

  • Publication number: 20120088413
Abstract: A rib (54) of a sub-connector (30) is inserted into a groove (22) of a housing (10) if the sub-connector (30) is accommodated inside a correct accommodation concavity (11). A projected strip (77) of a wire cover (70) then is inserted into the groove (22) with the projected strip (77) and the rib (54) being side by side. Thus the wire cover (70) is prevented from being opened. The rib (54) may be inserted into the groove (22) if the sub-connector (30) is accommodated inside an incorrect accommodation concavity (11). But when an operation of mounting the wire cover (70) on the housing (10) in the above-described state is performed, the projected strip (77) interferes with the rib (54) inserted into the groove (22) to stop the mounting the wire cover (70) on the housing (10).

  • Publication number: 20120009809
Abstract: A first housing (10) has a frame (11) with concave accommodation portions (20). A sub-connector (31) with female terminal fittings (33) is accommodated in the concave accommodation portions (20). A collective rubber stopper (36) is accommodated inside the concave accommodation portions (20) to seal a gap between a peripheral surface of an electric wire (34) pulled out of the sub-connector (31) and an inner peripheral surface of each concave accommodation portion (20). A first cam follower (19) is formed on an outer surface of the frame (11) and can engage an operation member (80). The frame (11) has an outer wall (12) defining an outer surface thereof where the first cam follower (19) is formed and an inner wall (18) separated from the outer wall part (12) via separated spaces (17) and constructing the inner peripheral surface of each concave accommodation portions (20).
