  • Patent number: 7667342
Abstract: A power supply system that supplies high-voltage power to a vehicle drive motor is provided to achieve reduction in size, weight and cost of power supply. The power supply system includes a plurality of battery modules connected in series. With the intermediate connection point of the battery modules as an electrical neutral point, power is supplied to a three-level inverter via a three-level-potential high-voltage power supply line having potentials of +150V and ?150V relative to this neutral point. In the three-level inverter, direct-current electric power is converted into three-phase alternating-current electric power to drive an electric motor. Accordingly, the withstand-voltage performance required of control units or control elements connected to the high-voltage power supply line can be halved as compared with the related art, thereby allowing a reduction in the size, weight, and cost of the power supply system.

  • Publication number: 20070216226
Abstract: A high voltage power supply device has a plurality of battery modules connected to each other in series by coupling a safety plug unit to a safety plug unit connecting base to output a series voltage from a power supply output coupler. The safety plug unit connects/disconnects electrode terminals of all the battery modules to each other. Female electrode bodies electrically connected to power supply terminals of the respective battery modules are collectively positioned in a limited area and are arranged at equal intervals on the safety plug unit connecting base. An output voltage of each battery module is set to be lower than 50V to reduce the risk of injury during use, inspection or maintenance of the high voltage power supply device and to downsize the device.

  • Patent number: 6914233
Abstract: The wafer mapping system has an access port for transferring a wafer in and out and detects an accommodated wafer for a cassette in which slots for accommodating and holding inserted wafers are disposed in tiers. The wafer mapping system includes (1) a receiver that is fixed to a member facing the access port for receiving elements arranged serially along a height direction of the cassette, and (2) a transmitter that is disposed movable in an up and down direction of the cassette and transmits a signal toward a wafer accommodated in each of the slots of the cassette. The receiver receives a signal from the transmitter, and thereby the presence or absence of a wafer and a state of a wafer accommodated in each of the slots of the cassette are detected. Thereby, with a simple system configuration, an accommodation state of the wafer can be accurately detected.

  • Publication number: 20030182521
Abstract: A terminal apparatus attaches an in-writing signal to an e-mail by a command processing portion and develops the in-writing signal into a sending buffer during the period of writing received rewriting data. The terminal apparatus sends the e-mail to a center apparatus. In addition, after the terminal apparatus performs writing all the rewriting data and completes rewriting firmware, the terminal apparatus attaches a rewriting completion signal to e-mail by the command processing portion and develops the rewriting completion signal into the sending buffer. The terminal apparatus sends the e-mail to the center apparatus. The center apparatus judges that rewriting the firmware in the terminal apparatus is completed when the center apparatus receives the rewriting completion signal after receiving the in-writing signal from the terminal apparatus.

  • Patent number: 5850231
Abstract: An electronic device maintains data utilizing a ferroelectric memory, not requiring a backup power source voltage. Data such as schedule data and telephone number data is stored in a ferroelectric RAM which switches between a dynamic mode and a nonvolatile mode. When a clock mode is designated by a "CLK" key, a memory control circuit causes the ferroelectric RAM to be switched to the nonvolatile mode to maintain the data stored therein. When a schedule mode or a telephone mode is designated by means of a "Sch" key or a "Tel" key, the ferroelectric RAM is switched to the nonvolatile mode to write/read data therein/therefrom. When it is detected that a battery voltage is lowered or the battery is removed from the electronic device, the ferroelectric RAM is switched to the nonvolatile mode to protect the stored data.

  • Patent number: 4763730
Abstract: Oil recovery from a petroleum reservoir using a miscible gas, such as carbon dioxide, nitrogen or methane is enhanced by injecting a preformed stable foam into the reservoir. The foam composition is formed by an effective amount of an alpha olefin sulfonate (AOS) capable of forming a foam with water having a salt content similar to that in the reservoir and the miscible gas. Preferably, the alpha olefin sulfonates have from 8 to 24 carbon atoms. In a preferred form the AOS has on average a carbon content of less than about 12 carbon atoms in higher salt content brines and less than about 12 carbon atoms in lower salt content brines. Most preferably, in brines having a salt concentration of at least 10 weight percent, the AOS has on average about 10 carbon atoms; in brines having a salt concentration of from 2 to 10 weight percent the AOS has on average about 12 carbon atoms; and in brines having less than 2 weight percent salt and AOS has on average about 14 carbon atoms.
