  • Patent number: 5391987
Abstract: A synchronous position correction system for a self-controlled linear synchronous motor train includes a position detector for detecting a positional relationship between a propulsion winding provided on a track and a field pole provided on the train which is formed by a plurality of cars. A synchronous operation of the formed train is performed at a phase which is obtained by correcting a phase detected by the position detector on the basis of a difference between an average phase of the whole of the formed train and the phase detected by the position detector, at a phase which is obtained by correcting the phase detected by the position detector on the basis of a difference between the phase of a speed electromotive force of the whole of the formed train and the phase detected by the position detector, or at a phase which is detected by the position detector in conjunction with the position of a central car of the formed train.

  • Patent number: 5125347
Abstract: A power supply system for a linear motor type transportation system includes a series of driving coils disposed along a railroad track for producing a moving magnetic field to drive a train, a plurality of feeding blocks disposed along the railroad track for supplying electric power to the series of driving coils, a plurality of power converters each connected to the corresponding feeding blocks to supply electric power to each corresponding feeding section composed of the feeding blocks, and a plurality of block switches connected between neighboring two feeding blocks of the feeding blocks.

  • Patent number: 4672740
Abstract: A semiconductor device having contact windows between an aluminum or aluminum-alloy wiring layer and a diffused region in a semiconductor substrate, in which the contacts are formed by using a barrier film on a refractory metal silicide between the wiring layer and the diffused region. The barrier film comprising the refactory metal and silicon is beam annealed for a short period of time such as, 10 seconds or less, so that adverse effects of the barrier film can be prevented while an excellent electrical or ohmic contact between the wiring layer and the diffused layer can be obtained.

  • Patent number: 4454457
Abstract: In a linear motor composed of a propelling coil laid on continuously along a track and a field system mounted on a vehicle for driving it, the propelling coil of an enormous length is sectioned into a number of propelling coil units which are connected alternately to two sets of feeders by means of switches, the feeder sets being supplied with polyphase currents from different power converters, respectively. The propelling coil units are connected in series to one another without any interposed insulation and sectioned by a number of lead conductors so that every pair of the adjacent propelling coil units has a common coil portion shared by them and having a length not smaller than that of the vehicle. A pair of the polyphase lead conductors connected to each of the propelling coil units are connected, respectively, to going feeders and return feeders constituting the set of feeders through switches.

  • Patent number: 4381478
Abstract: In a magnetic floating type of super high speed transportation system using a linear synchronous motor system as its drive system in which a field magnet is carried on a train and a series of armature coils are provided along a track, a speed of a train is regulated under control of a frequency converter of the variable frequency and voltage type for supplying power to the armature coils. For the speed regulation, a relative position of the field magnet to the armature coils is detected to form a train of position detecting pulses. A reference frequency pattern with a frequency corresponding to a speed command is formed. A phase difference between the reference frequency pattern and the position detecting pulse train is detected. A propulsion force command of a linear motor is obtained by setting different limit values in the positive and negative parts of the phase difference signal. A sinusoidal current waveform pattern is formed in synchronism with the position detecting pulse train.
