  • Patent number: 5187337
Abstract: A pressure switch for operating a device for increasing the engine speed of an automotive vehicle equipped with a power steering system in order to prevent an engine stall when a high load acts on a power steering pump during parking and at a low vehicle cruising speed. The pressure switch is comprised of a movable terminal which is normally separate from a stationary terminal and contactable with the stationary terminal in response to an oil pressure over a predetermined level, in a hydraulic circuit of the power steering system. The movable terminal is slidably fitted in a pit to be filled with oil so that the response of the movable terminal to the oil pressure is lowered, thus providing a hysteresis effect to prevent chattering of the pressure switch.

  • Patent number: 4573890
Abstract: In a vane pump, the cam ring must be fixed to an annular recessed portion of the housing in such a way that there exists no eccentricity between the cam ring and the rotor. To eliminate an eccentricity, a pair of semicircular grooves are formed on the inner circumference of the annular recessed portion diametrically opposed to the center thereof; a pair of semicircular grooves are formed on the outer circumference of the cam ring also diametrically opposed to the center thereof so as to provide two locating pin holes in cooperation with the two housing grooves, respectively; a pair of locating pins are pressure fitted, respectively, to the locating pin holes. Further, it is possible forcibly correct an eccentricity by selecting a locating pin having a diameter appropriately larger than that of the pin hole. The two locating pin holes are arranged in the direction of belt tension to eliminate the eccentricity due to belt tension.

  • Patent number: 4087213
Abstract: A self-aligning reciprocating plunger pump particularly suitable for use in a water jet loom which makes use of a water jet for the purpose of picking a weft into warp openings. The pump is provided in its casing with a push rod slidably mounted in a guide hole formed in the casing and driven by a cam. The push rod is abutted through a spherical surface member provided on a plunger slidably mounted in a cylinder against the plunger.A main valve box connected to a discharge opening provided in a cover casing is arranged adjacent to a control valve box connected to a water jet device which is fastened to the main valve box by bolts.
