  • Publication number: 20020130723
Abstract: A radio-frequency amplifier comprises slot lines formed in a top electrode which are bent to define matching segments that are perpendicular to transmitting segments. The matching segments have a length corresponding to one-quarter of the wavelength of a signal to be amplified and are at least partially perpendicular to the transmitting segments. A DC-cut circuit comprising slot lines is connected to the matching segments, an FET is connected to the transmitting segments and the matching segments, and respective matching circuits serve as an input unit and an output unit of the FET. Source terminals of the FET are connected to parts of a top electrode that do not lie between the segments. A drain terminal and a gate terminal are connected, to be electrically separated from each other, to parts of the top electrode, which are electrically separated from the source terminals by the DC-cut circuit, the transmitting segments, and the matching segments.

  • Patent number: 6445263
Abstract: The invention provides. a dielectric resonator for example in the TE010 mode characterized in that electrodes are formed on both principal surfaces of a dielectric plate in such a manner that influence of spurious waves propagating in a space between the electrodes and a conductive plate is prevented thus preventing the reduction in Qo and degradation in the attenuation characteristic in the frequency ranges outside the passband. The inner diameter of the cavity is selected such that when the cavity is regarded as a waveguide the cutoff frequency of the waveguide becomes higher than the resonant frequency of a resonance region and such that the inner diameter of the cavity is greater than a non-electrode part.

  • Patent number: 6331808
Abstract: A dielectric resonator device having characteristics of a plane circuit type dielectric resonator device applicable to miniaturization is included. Non-loading Q0 of a resonator is increased so as to decrease insertion loss in the case of forming a band sass filter, or the like. Changes in filter characteristics with respect to changes in structural dimensions of the length of the resonator, the gap between the resonators, or the like, are reduced. There is an increase in the freedom in adjustment of resonant frequency to enhance production efficiency. In this arrangement, on each main surface of a dielectric plate is disposed an electrode having mutually opposing openings, which serve as a rectangular-slot mode dielectric resonator; in which the length of the resonator is longer than a half-wave length at the resonant frequency being used so as to resonate in a higher mode.

  • Patent number: 6121855
Abstract: A dielectric filter is formed by electrode non-formation parts (openings) disposed on opposite main surfaces of a dielectric plate so as to form a dielectric resonator, as well as two coupling members coupled to said dielectric resonator. A large amount of attenuation required for blocking a certain frequency is secured by generating an attenuation pole in the area of that frequency. The two coupling members may be constituted by probes or other structures. The two coupling members are non-parallel to each other, and one of the coupling members is coupled with at least two coupling modes of the resonator.
