  • Publication number: 20030045393
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a driving state switching unit with a synchro-mechanism which employs a synchro-mechanism to perform switching of a driving state. The switching unit is equipped with a first gear (32) and a second gear (33) coaxially disposed, a gear connecting member (34) axially movable so that the first gear (32) and the second gear (33) can be connected, and a synchro-mechanism (35) interposed between the first gear (32) and the second gear (33). By moving the gear connecting member (34) by an electric actuator (50), the first gear (32) and the second gear (33) are connected, while they are being synchronized by the synchro-mechanism (35). When this occurs, control means (102) controls a supply current to the electric actuator (50), and judgement means (102) judges synchronization of the synchro-mechanism (35), based on a change in the supply current value to the electric actuator (50).

  • Publication number: 20020096384
Abstract: At the time of head-on collision of a vehicle, an intermediate portion of a subframe 6 is folded and deformed downwardly into a form of L-shape, an engine body 8 is moved downward, a radiator core upper rail 11 is rearwardly deformed and moved, a collision load is input to an upper portion of the engine body 8 through a rod 10, and the engine body 8 is rotated rearward around a connecting member 9. With this, a distance of a shortest portion between the engine body 8 and a dash panel 3 is increased, and a crushing stroke of the engine room 1 is increased.

  • Patent number: 6153698
Abstract: A modified styrene-based resin composition in which silicone powder is added to styrene-based resin. One can obtain styrene-based resin compositions remarkably improved in impact resistance and sliding properties, particularly in permanence during sliding. In particular, when the base material is transparent polystyrene-based resin, it was found that the present invention can provide styrene-based resin compositions having excellent impact strength, sliding properties, and transparency without spoiling their fluidity and thermostability. In addition, use of rubber modified polystyrene as styrene-based resin permits styrene-based resin compositions exhibiting well-balanced impact resistance, sliding properties, heat distortion resistance, molding properties, workability, and surface appearance of molded articles.

  • Patent number: 5235875
Abstract: A gear shift control system according to this invention includes a throttle opening sensor, a vehicle speed sensor and a controller for delivering a shift command signal to an automatic transmission. The controller is previously stored with shift lines, which divide the respective regions of gear-shift stages, on the basis of the throttle opening and the vehicle speed. The controller delivers the shift command signal to the transmission when any of the shift lines is crossed by a shift point which is defined by the throttle opening and the vehicle speed. Taking account of the changing rate of the throttle opening, the past throttle opening, and the acceleration of the vehicle, however, the controller calculates a decision value which is indicative of the running state of the vehicle, on the basis of the fuzzy theory. When the decision value exceeds a predetermined value, the controller corrects the shift lines depending on the running state.
