  • Publication number: 20070147517
Abstract: A video processing method for AV synchronization resilience is provided. A first frame is decoded and displayed while a second frame is decoded for a predetermined period of time. It is determined whether the decoding time for the second frame exceeds a defined duration. If so, the first frame is continuously displayed during the decoding time for the second frame. The second frame is displayed while a third frame is decoded for a predetermined period of time.

  • Publication number: 20070079019
Abstract: A cellular phone. The cellular phone comprises a connector, a first memory module, a second memory module, and a controller. The connector is used for physically connecting the cellular phone to an external device. The first memory module stores phone data. The second memory module stores application data received from the external device. The controller determines whether the connector is connected to the external device. If the connector is not connected to the external device, access right of both the first and second memory modules is granted exclusively to the cellular phone. If the connector is connected to the external device, access right of the first memory is granted exclusively to the cellular phone, and access right of the second memory module is granted exclusively to the external device.

  • Publication number: 20070033302
Abstract: A virtual first in first out (FIFO) direct memory access (DMA) device applied in an electronic device having a processor, a UART unit and a virtual FIFO unit is provided. In the virtual FIFO DMA device, a DMA unit is for transferring data between the UART unit and the virtual FIFO unit. A virtual FIFO controller, which has a read pointer and a write pointer, is electrically connected with the DMA unit. When the DMA unit reads data from or writes data into the virtual FIFO unit, the virtual FIFO controller correspondingly changes the value of the read pointer or the write pointer. A virtual port is electrically connected to the DMA unit and the processor. A processor reads data from or writes data into the virtual FIFO unit via the virtual port and the DMA unit.

  • Publication number: 20060160569
Abstract: A cellular phone is provided. A connector is used for connecting cellular phone physically to a connection port of a computer. A nonvolatile storage device stores data received from the computer. A controller determines whether the cellular phone operates in a storage mode or a phone mode. When the cellular phone operates in the storage mode, it receives data from the computer via the connector, and stores the received data in the storage device. When the cellular phone operates in the phone mode, it executes a default functionality of the cellular phone.

  • Publication number: 20060092982
Abstract: A method for providing media files. A video bitstream file, a video meta file, and an audio bitstream file are first runtime generated during recording. After the recording is suspended, an audio header file is generated corresponding to the audio bitstream file, and a video header file is generated corresponding to the video meta file. The audio header file and the video header file are merged into an AV header file, and the video bitstream file and the audio bitstream file are merged into an AV bitstream file. The AV bitstream file and the AV header file are further merged into a media file.

In the virtual FIFO DMA device, a DMA unit is for transferring data between the UART unit and the virtual FIFO. When the DMA unit reads data from or saves data into the virtual FIFO, the virtual FIFO controller correspondingly changes the value of the read pointer or the write pointer. A virtual port is electrically connected with the DMA unit and the processor respectively. A processor reads data from or writes data into the virtual FIFO via the virtual port and the DMA unit.
