Publication number: 20240120388Abstract: Provided are structures and methods for forming structures with sloping surfaces of a desired profile. An exemplary method includes performing a first etch process to differentially etch a gate material to a recessed surface, wherein the recessed surface includes a first horn at a first edge, a second horn at a second edge, and a valley located between the first horn and the second horn; depositing an etch-retarding layer over the recessed surface, wherein the etch-retarding layer has a central region over the valley and has edge regions over the horns, and wherein the central region of the etch-retarding layer is thicker than the edge regions of the etch-retarding layer; and performing a second etch process to recess the horns to establish the gate material with a desired profile.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 18, 2023Publication date: April 11, 2024Applicant: Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company, Ltd.Inventors: Li-Wei Yin, Tzu-Wen Pan, Yu-Hsien Lin, Jih-Sheng Yang, Shih-Chieh Chao, Chia Ming Liang, Yih-Ann Lin, Ryan Chia-Jen Chen

Patent number: 7438590Abstract: An electrical connector includes an insulative housing receiving a plurality of terminals therein, an upper cover mounted on the insulative housing, a flexible bus, and a casing shielding the upper cover and fixed to the insulative housing. The insulative housing has a mating portion for mating with a mating connector. The flexible bus has a plurality of contacts on an end thereof. The upper cover presses against the flexible bus in assembly, forcing the contacts to contact the terminals. The casing biases against the upper cover, forcing the contacts of the flexible bus to contact the terminals reliably. The flexible bus of the electrical connector does not contact a mating connector directly, thereby lengthening the life of the flexible bus even after repeated plugging.Type: GrantFiled: October 1, 2007Date of Patent: October 21, 2008Assignee: P-Two Industries Inc.Inventors: Shih-Chieh Liang, Wang-Kun Tsai

Patent number: 7387526Abstract: An electrical connector is disclosed including an insulative housing, a pair of lock strips assembled to the insulative housing, and a casing assembled to the insulative housing for retaining the lock strips. The insulative housing includes a plurality of passageways receiving a plurality of conductive terminals therein. Mounting portions are respectively integrally formed on both sides of the passageways. Each mounting portion defines a plug groove, and an abutting portion is formed in the plug groove against burden of too large force. Retention portions are formed on the mounting portions for retaining the lock strips. The lock strips are respectively inserted into the plug grooves from top to bottom. Each lock strip includes a pressing portion projecting thereon. Latch portions extend from the pressing portions and are movable to lock with or disengage from a mating connector. Thus the lock strips are reliably retained.Type: GrantFiled: March 16, 2007Date of Patent: June 17, 2008Assignee: P-Two Industries Inc.Inventors: Shih-chieh Liang, Kai-hung Wang

Patent number: 7297027Abstract: An electrical connector has a rectangular insulative housing, a plurality of conductive terminals and a grounding plate respectively received in the housing, and a shell covering the housing. Cavities are defined at both sides of the housing and through a front surface and a rear surface thereof. The grounding plate includes a connecting portion, a plurality of contact pins extending from an edge of the connecting portion, and locking portions respectively extending from opposing sides of the connecting portion. In assembly, the grounding plate is inserted into the housing, the locking portions being embedded in the cavities. The shell has rear portions at a rear thereof for covering rear of the cavities thereby fixing the locking portions when assembled. At least a projecting point is formed on the connecting portion and opposite to the contact pins, and reliably contacts the rear portions of the shell for grounding.Type: GrantFiled: June 20, 2006Date of Patent: November 20, 2007Assignee: P-Two Industries Inc.Inventor: Shih-Chieh Liang
