  • Publication number: 20030047431
Abstract: A multidirectional operation key including a micro stick switch and a flexible navigation button is provided. The multidirectional operation key, which absorbs the manufacturing and assembly tolerances, is installed in a small-sized electronic device which has an upper cover. The flexible navigation button is used to fine-tune the relative position between the multidirectional operation key and the upper cover such that the multidirectional operation key can perfectly fit into an opening on the upper cover. Of which, the flexible navigation button is a two pieces design including a body and a shaft cover. The upper end of the shaft cover is flexibly jointed with the body while the lower end of the shaft cover is tightly mounted on the micro stick switch with the body being held up by an elastic piece situated between the body and the shaft cover. Besides, the multidirectional operation key further includes an elastic holding piece which holds and keeps the flexible navigation button at a horizontal position.

  • Publication number: 20030048597
Abstract: A personal digital assistant with waterproof and dustproof functions including a carriage, an LCD module, a holding frame, a touch-control panel module, an elastic object and an upper cover is provided. The carriage is installed inside the PDA; the LCD module is mounted on the carriage while the holding frame is mounted on the LCD module; the touch-control panel module is mounted on the holding frame and is assembled to the LCD module. The elastic object is pasted in dots to the holding frame along the four edges of the touch-control panel; whereas the upper cover, which covers on top of the touch-control panel module, presses the elastic objects such that the touch-control panel module and the LCD module are tightly assembled together. The design of the personal digital assistant has the characteristics of easy assembly and disassembly as well as waterproof and dustproof functions.

  • Publication number: 20030043535
Abstract: A protective cover with ternary structure applied in an electronic product comprises a conjoint plate, a flexible plate connected to the conjoint plate, and a fastening plate connected to the flexible plate. The fastening plate snaps the bottom cover for covering the expansion slot of the electronic product. Also, the conjoint plate, the flexible plate, and the fastening plate are integrated as a whole by double injection technique, and the flexibility of the flexible plate controls the protective cover being closed or opened.

  • Patent number: 5799207
Abstract: A computer system is disclosed which has a master, such as a processor, a memory, and I/O device, a first transfer path, which includes a bus, and a second transfer path, which includes a transfer interconnection. Transfers between the memory and the I/O device are effected via the first path while transfers between the processor and the I/O device are transferred via the second path. The disparate treatment between these two types of transfers reduces the likelihood that the transfer via the second path is delayed and thereby reduces the likelihood that the master is totally blocked from operation.

  • Patent number: 5659707
Abstract: A labelling method and system are disclosed for correlating multiple outstanding requests to utilize a shared resource issued by a particular master of a computer system. The labelling system includes a memory for storing an assigned indication corresponding to each label assigned by each master of a computer system. The memory is also for indicating a label available for assignment which is unique over each outstanding, unsatisfied request to utilize the shared resource issued by each master of the computers system. The labelling system also includes a first circuit which is responsive to the unique label indicated by the memory. The first circuit is provided for assigning the unique label indicated by the memory to a request to utilize the shared resource issued by the particular master in which the labelling system is located.

  • Patent number: 5615334
Abstract: A memory reflection scheme is disclosed including a snarfing agent provided with efficient memory reflection circuitry for snarfing data. The memory reflection circuitry is for snarfing particular data written back from a write back agent to a memory subsystem agent. In response to unsuccessfully snarfing the particular data written back from the write back agent to the memory subsystem agent, the memory reflection circuitry issues a command to read the particular data from the memory subsystem agent. However, the memory reflection circuitry only issues such a command if the write back agent successfully writes back the particular data to the memory subsystem agent.
