  • Publication number: 20090058799
Abstract: An interactive pointing device having pointing function in space and game control is provided in the present invention. The interactive pointing device comprises an accelerometer module and a gyroscope device. The accelerometer module functions as sensing the movement of the operator and generates at least one axis of accelerating signal corresponding to the sensed movement. The gyroscope device disposed on a turning mechanism functions as sensing rotation status of the interactive pointing device about at least one axis and generate a corresponding rotating signal. The turning mechanism can be operated to adjust the axis of the gyroscope device so that the gyroscope device is capable of sensing rotation status about different axes. The at least one accelerating signal and the rotating signal are then processed for controlling cursor movement of the electrical device and interacting with multimedia gaming programs.

  • Publication number: 20080134784
Abstract: An inertial input apparatus with six-axial detection ability, structured with a gyroscope and an acceleration module capable of detecting accelerations of X, Y, Z axes defined by a 3-D Cartesian coordinates, which is operable either being held to move on a planar surface or in a free space. When the inertial input apparatus is being held to move and operate on a planar surface by a user, a two-dimensional detection mode is adopted thereby that the gyroscope is used for detection rotations of the inertial input apparatus caused by unconscious rolling motions of the user and thus compensating the erroneous rotations, by which the technical disadvantages of prior-art inertial input apparatuses equipped with only accelerometer can be overcame and thus control smoothness of using the input apparatus is enhanced.

  • Publication number: 20080122787
Abstract: A pointing device is disclosed in the present invention, which comprises a planar sensing unit, an inertial sensing unit and a controller unit. The planar sensing unit is capable of detecting a movement of the point device moving on a planar surface and generating a planar sensing signal accordingly. The inertial sensing unit is capable of detecting a movement of the point device while it is moving in a free space and thus generating an inertial sensing signal accordingly. The controller unit is coupled to the planar sensing unit and the inertial sensing unit for enabling the same to receive and process the planar sensing signal and the inertial sensing signal.

  • Patent number: 6525251
Abstract: A method of displaying the title and words of songs on a portable digital music player includes the steps of using an editing software to edit words of songs into pages, storing the pages of words of the songs in the hard diskdrive of a computer for enabling the computer to automatically display the edited words on the screen when playing the selected song, recording the time for displaying each page of the words of the song played through the computer, driving the computer to store the file after the end of the play of the song, transferring the storage data from the computer to the memory of the portable digital music player, and driving the portable digital music player to display page by page the words of the song being played by the portable digital music player.
