Abstract: A method for audio modulation is provided. The method including: obtaining the digital audio signals of the caller in the process of communications; analyzing the digital audio signals and obtain a voice frequency of the caller; reading a voice frequency of the user from a memory, and calculate the rate of the voice frequencies between the caller and the user; modulating the user' analog audio signals according to the rate of the voice frequencies; converting the modulated analog audio signals into digital audio signals; coding the digital audio signals and modulating the coded digital audio signals and transmitting the modulated digital audio signals to the caller. Through the method, the user's voice is modulated to sound like the caller's voice, thereby increasing the interest of the process of communicating. Present invention also provides a communication device with the function of audio modulation.

Abstract: A hand-held device and a method for affixing a seal impression on a paper document are provided. The hand-held device includes a processor, a memory unit, an input unit, and a seal impression generation unit for generating a seal impression. The processor generates a file code in response to a file code generation request and generates a control signal. The seal impression generation unit generates a seal impression according to the control signal of the processor. After the seal impression is affixed on a paper document, the processor generates a log file in response to a log file generation request.

Abstract: The present invention provides a telecommunication system, a mobile phone and a calling method adapted for the telecommunication system. The telecommunication system includes a mobile phone connected to a wireless network and a wired phone connected to a wired network. The mobile phone and the wired phone communicate each other within a predetermined coverage area. When there is not a wired phone within the predetermined coverage area or there is a wired phone within the predetermined coverage area and the current state of the wired phone is busy, the mobile phone makes a call via the wireless network. If there is a wired phone within the predetermined coverage area and the current state of the wired phone is idle, the mobile phone sends a phone number to the wired phone, and the wired phone makes the call via the wired network.

Abstract: The invention provides a portable computer with shared hardware resources that can be used by other computers. The portable computer includes an interface converter, a control module, a power management module, and a power path switch. When the portable computer is powered off and connected with a computer host through a serial bus interface, the shared hardware resources of the portable computer obtain power from the computer host through the serial bus interface. The interface converter converts data between a shared hardware resource interface format and a serial bus interface format, and enables the shared hardware resources to communicate with the computer host and therefore are employed by the computer host. In one embodiment, the shared hardware resources include a keyboard. In another embodiment, the shared hardware resources include a keyboard and a display.

Abstract: An authentication apparatus is for authenticating a fingerprint to power up an electronic device. The authentication apparatus includes a fingerprint sensor, and a power manager. The fingerprint sensor includes a memory for storing predetermined fingerprints, a sampling module for sampling the fingerprint, and an authenticating module for comparing the fingerprint with the predetermined fingerprints to generate an electronic device power-up command. The power manager is for powering up the electronic device according to the electronic device power-up command. An electronic device using the authentication apparatus and an authentication method are also disclosed.

Abstract: An expandable screen is for displaying display information according to a display mode command. The expandable screen includes a main screen, an extension screen, and a display controller. The extension screen pivotally connected to the main screen via a hinge. The display controller is for receiving the displaying information and the display mode command, and for controlling the main screen and the extension screen according to the display mode command. A mobile phone using the expandable screen, and a display controlling method are also disclosed.

Abstract: A mobile communication device includes a receiver, a buffer, a memory, an identifier, and a deleting module. The receiver is used for receiving short message service messages. The buffer is used for storing the short message service messages temporarily. The memory is used for storing a plurality of contact records. The identifier is used for identifying the short message service messages based on the contact records. The deleting module is used for deleting the short message service messages from the buffer if the short message service messages don't pass the identifying action. A mobile communication method is also disclosed.

The frame is welded onto the printed board and surrounds the electronic component. The frame defines a slot near the top of the frame. The lid passes through the slot and seals the top of the frame.

Abstract: A charge protection circuit with a timing function is disclosed. The circuit includes a charge protection module constituting of a second switch, a second capacitor and a control integrated circuit (IC). The second switch Q2 is switched to turn on or turn off to charge or discharge the lithium-ion battery. The second capacitor configured for setting a delay time of a Ct terminal of the control IC, thus to prevent the battery from being overcharged. The circuit further includes a charge timing circuit configured for predetermining a time threshold value. When the charge time reaches the time threshold value, the charge timing circuit outputs a second high level signal to charge the second capacitor. The second capacitor triggers the control IC to turn off the second switch, thereby terminating the charge of the battery body.

Abstract: An LCD television includes an LCD panel including a plurality of LCD units with concave structure, three sides of the LCD unit also include liquid crystal molecule (LCM), all of the first side of the LCD unit constitutes a first LCM array and forms a first display interface, all of the second side of the LCD unit constitutes a second LCM array and forms a second display interface, all of the third side of the LCD unit constitutes a third LCM array and forms a third display interface. The LCD television also includes three signal conversion modules configured to convert three TV program signals into three control signals respectively, three driving modules are configured to drive the three LCM arrays according to the control signals and cause the first display interface, the second display interface, and the third display interface to display corresponding TV programs.

Abstract: A power-saving circuit is provided for saving electrical power by detecting a presence or absence of an object in a localized area. The power-saving circuit includes a sensor module, and a switch module connected to the sensor module. The detector is adapted for outputting a control signal at a first state when an object is detected in the localized area, and outputting a control signal at a second state when an object is detected not in the localized area. The switch module provides a stable DC voltage according to the control signal at the first state, and not provides the stable DC voltage according to the control signal at the second state.

Abstract: An exemplary ambient noise filtering method includes: sampling ambient noise signals to obtain multiple groups of sampled signals; analyzing each group of the sampled signals in each sampling period to determine ambient noise frequency band(s) in each sampling period, wherein the ambient noise frequency band is a frequency band where the ambient noise distributes; determining main noise frequency band(s) by statistically analyzing all the ambient noise frequency bands, wherein the main noise frequency band is a frequency band where the ambient noise concentrates and mainly distributes; and filtering the ambient noise out of signals generated during a communication by filtering the determined main noise frequency band(s) if the main noise frequency band(s) does not have a same range as that of a speech frequency band. Abstract: A multiple output AC/DC power adapter is provided. The adapter includes an adapter body with an output connector and more than one output plugs configured for connecting with the output connector. The adapter body includes a DC-DC converting circuit having an input terminal, an output terminal, a first adjustment terminal. The output connector includes a positive terminal, a second adjustment terminal and a negative terminal configured for connecting to the output terminal and the first adjustment terminal of the DC-DC converting circuit and ground correspondingly. The output plugs each includes an adjustment resistor having a resistance value different from the other output plugs. Therefore, when equipped with a plurality of output plugs each of the plurality of plugs having different resistor R0, the adapter can supply different output DC voltages for different electronic device.

Abstract: A positioning device includes an antenna, a receiving module, a processing module and an output module. The receiving module receives positioning signals transmitted from positioning satellites and a position signal of another positioning device transmitted from a ground monitoring system using the antenna. The processing module determines a position of the positioning device according to the positioning signals, and calculates a distance between the positioning device and another positioning device according to the position signal of the position device and the position signal of the another positioning device. The output module outputs the distance. A method for measuring the distance between the positioning devices is also provided.

Abstract: A broadcast playback system comprises a computer and a broadcast playback apparatus being connected to each other via a serial bus module. The computer loads predetermined control codes stored in the broadcast playback apparatus, performs the predetermined control codes to display a control menu. The broadcast playback apparatus plays a broadcasted program when receiving a play command generated by the computer according to a play input on the control menu. The broadcast playback apparatus stores the broadcasted program thereby generating a broadcast file when receiving a store command generated by the computer if a store input on the control menu. The broadcast playback apparatus replays a selected broadcast file when receiving a replay command generated by the computer according to a selection input of the selected broadcast file on the control menu. Moreover, a related broadcast playback method is further provided.
