  • Publication number: 20140334096
Abstract: An electronic device includes a cover, a base, and two resilient members located in the base. The cover is rotatably connected to the base and includes first magnetic members. The base includes second magnetic members. A magnetic force results between the first magnetic members and the second magnetic members. A critical angle is defined between the cover and the base. When an angle between the cover and the base is greater than the critical angle, the cover is rotated to be in an open position by the resilient members. When an angle between the cover and the base is less than the critical angle, the cover is rotated to be in a closed position by the magnetic force.

  • Publication number: 20140126164
Abstract: A startup apparatus for a power supply includes an enclosure base, an enclosure cover slidably and pivotably mounted on the enclosure base, a trigger member slidably mounted in the enclosure base, and a power supply switch installed in the enclosure base. The enclosure cover is pushed forward relative to the enclosure base to trigger the trigger member to cause the power supply switch to output power-on instructions to a circuit board in the enclosure base. The enclosure cover is pushed backward relative to the enclosure base to trigger the trigger member to cause the power supply switch to output power-off instructions to the circuit board.

  • Publication number: 20140112522
Abstract: A mounting apparatus for an audio module includes an enclosure base and an enclosure cover. The audio module is pivotally mounted in the enclosure base. A first rotating rod is positioned on the sides of the audio module. An elastic member is mounted on and a plurality of first teeth protrude from one side of the first rotating rod. A gear is pivotally mounted in the enclosure base. A plurality of second teeth protrude from the gear corresponding to the plurality of first teeth. The elastic member is elastically deformed in its original state, and the audio module is received in the enclosure base. When the enclosure cover is rotated away from the enclosure base, the elastic member rotates the first rotating rod, the first rotating rod rotates the gear, and the audio module extends to outside of the enclosure base.

  • Publication number: 20140102923
Abstract: A computer enclosure includes an enclosure base, an enclosure cover, two pivoting rods or axles, two height-adjusting feet, pushing members, and two connecting poles. The enclosure cover pivots on the enclosure base and the pivoting axles are connected to the enclosure base and pivot with the enclosure cover. The pivoting axles are not circular but present lobes or cams at a certain angle. The connecting poles are connected to the pivoting axles and the pushing members, the pushing members are fixed on the enclosure base and connected to the height-adjusting feet. Rotating the cover up and away from the enclosure base causes the lobes of the pivoting axles to lift and thus bear down on the height-adjusting feet, extending them through the enclosure base to take the weight of the computer and provide a larger space for the movement of cooling air underneath the computer.

  • Publication number: 20140104774
Abstract: A notebook computer comprises a base and a screen pivotally attached to the base. A groove is defined in the base for mounting an audio module. The audio module is pivotally mounted in the groove by a resilient member and configured to receive or send audio signals for users. The screen is rotatable between a closed position, where the screen covers the base module; and an open position, where the screen departs from the base module. When the screen is in the closed position, the audio module is in a first position, where the audio module is fully received in the groove, and the resilient member is compressed by the screen. When the screen is in the open position, the audio module is rotated to a second position, where the audio module protrudes out from the groove and the resilient member is released.

  • Publication number: 20080102908
Abstract: A sliding mechanism for connecting a display housing and an input housing of a portable communication device. The sliding mechanism includes a slide and a sliding element. The slide is fixed on the input housing and the sliding element is fixed on the display housing. The sliding element is slidably provided on the slide so that the display housing can slide relative to the input housing. Both the slide and the sliding element are hidden between the input housing and the display housing when the input housing and the display housing slide relative to each other. A portable communication device utilizing the slide mechanism is also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20080058034
Abstract: A handheld electronic device which comprises a body, a sliding cover, and at least one sliding mechanism. The sliding cover is slidingly disposed on the body, and the sliding mechanism is disposed in the body. The sliding mechanism includes two fixed elements, a sliding block, and a slide. The sliding block is connected to the sliding cover. The slide used to connect the two fixed elements passes through the sliding block. The sliding block moves relatively to the slide. The sliding block is with permanent magnetism, and at least one of the fixed elements is with variable magnetism such that the sliding block is suitable for moving on the slide through the variation of magnetic force between the sliding block and the fixed elements to drive the sliding cover moving relatively to the body.
