    Abstract: A universal box lid lifter has an upper mounting plate, an upper connection piece, a pivoting arm, a spring housing, a spring assembly, a lower connection piece and a lower mounting plate. The upper connection piece has two ends oriented in two directions, and is pivotally mounted between the upper mounting plate and the pivoting arm being respectively pivotable in two directions. The spring assembly is mounted in the spring housing and abuts against the pivoting arm and alternately positions the pivoting arm. The lower connection piece has two ends oriented in two directions, and is pivotally mounted between the lower mounting plate and the spring housing being respectively pivotable in two directions. Given the bidirectionally pivotable mechanism at both ends of the universal box lid lifter, the universal box lid lifters of a single type can be flexibly mounted to a box as requested to lift the lid of the box.

    Abstract: A method for arranging memories of a low-complexity low-density parity-check (LDPC) decoder and a low-complexity LDPC decoder using the same method are provided. The main idea of the method for arranging memories of a low-complexity LDPC decoder is to merge at least one or two small-capacity memory blocks into one memory group, so that the memory area can be reduced and the power consumption in reading or writing data is lowered. Besides, as the merged memory group shares the same address line in reading or writing data, at least one delay unit is used to adjust the reading or writing order and thereby ensure data validity. A low-complexity LDPC decoder using the disclosed method can meet the demands of high processing rate and low power consumption.

    Abstract: A keybolt assembly has a body and a latching element. The body has a recess and a detent assembly. The recess is defined in the body and has an inner surface and a notch formed longitudinally in the inner surface of the recess. The detent assembly is mounted in the notch to position the latching element. The latching element is mounted rotatably in the recess of the body, is elongated and has multiple detents. The detents are formed in a side surface of the latching element along a major axis and a minor axis of the latching element to selectively engage with the detent assembly to keep the latching element in a lock position.

    Abstract: A bi-directional hinge has a body with two barrels formed at two sides thereof. The barrels each have a slot defined through an outer periphery and adjacent a top end thereof Two torsional springs are respectively received in the barrels. A first leaf and a second leaf are pivotally mounted on the barrels respectively. Two upper seats are respectively provided on the top ends of the barrels, and two lower seats are respectively provided on the bottom ends of the barrels. Two axles respectively extend through the lower seats, the torsional springs and the upper seats. Two upper caps are provided at upper ends of the axles, and two lower caps are provided at lower ends of the axles. The upper and lower caps have linings of an abrasion-resistant plastic formed therein.

Each spring has a top end and a lower end respectively connected to the corresponding adjusting seat and base. Each barrel is further pivotally connected to a pivoting member. Two axles respectively extend through the barrels and the corresponding adjusting seats and bases. Each axle has two ends respectively and securely mounted with a top cap and a bottom cap, wherein fillers made of the durable plastic are disposed in the top caps and the bottom caps.

    Abstract: A lock has a first steel plate having a first through hole defined to correspond to the core of the body, a circular cap movably received in the first through hole and having a slit defined to correspond to the keyhole of the core. A second steel plate is securely attached to the first steel plate and has a second through hole corresponding to the first through hole and bores corresponding to the holes of the first steel plate. A protection cap is securely attached to a bottom of the second steel plate and a distal edge of the protection cap is securely connected to an outer face of the body. The protection cap has an opening defined to correspond to the second through hole.
