  • Patent number: 7004887
Abstract: A treadmill includes a base assembly, a collapsible treadmill deck and a locking device that includes a telescopic tube and a latch. The telescopic tube supports the treadmill deck in a folded position and includes an inside tube and an outside tube. The outside tube has a pawl hole and a bottom end pivotally mounted to the base assembly. The inside tube is telescopically mounted in the outside tube and has an outside end pivotally mounted on the treadmill deck and multiple positioning holes aligned with the pawl hole. The latch includes a stationary bracket fastened on the outside tube and a pivot pawl pivotally mounted on the stationary bracket. • Patent number: 6979283
Abstract: A locking device to lock a collapsible treadmill deck in a folded position includes a telescopic tube and a lock. The telescopic tube includes an outside tube and an inside tube. The outside tube has a though hole. The inside tube is telescopically mounted in the outside tube and has multiple positioning holes corresponding to the through hole. The lock is attached to the outside tube, aligned with the through hole and includes a mounting bracket, an adjusting knob and a detent assembly. The adjusting knob is rotatably and retractably mounted on the mounting bracket. The detent assembly includes a rotating shaft with a locking pin movably mounted in the mounting bracket and connected to the adjusting knob. Therefore, the locking pin will be pulled into one of the positioning holes to engage the inside tube by pushing the adjusting knob toward the mounting bracket.

  • Publication number: 20050140104
Abstract: A casing has a hollow body, at least one wheel holder and at least one wheel. The body has at least one cavity to respectively receive the at least one wheel holder. Each wheel is rotatably mounted on one of the at least one wheel holder. With the arrangement of the at least one wheel, the casing can be transported conveniently and easily.

  • Patent number: 6843757
Abstract: An adjusting device for a tread board of a treadmill has an actuating device, a transmission device and a connecting member. The actuating device is pivotally connected to a bottom of the tread board. The transmission device is connected to the actuating device. The connecting member is connected to the transmission device with a first end and has a second end pivotally attached to the tread board. The connecting member has a middle point pivotally attached to a stand. Accordingly, the actuating device and the transmission device can actuate the connecting member to rotate relative to the stand, and the angle of the tread board relative to the ground is adjusted. Because the transmission device can pivotally rotate relative to the tread board, a large force will not be applied to the transmission device. Consequently, the load bearing of the transmission device is reduced.

  • Publication number: 20040242378
Abstract: A passive shock absorber for a treadmill includes a tall damping member and a short stopping member for supporting the tall damping member. Both the tall damping and the short stopping members have a top, a bottom and a spring stiffness, respectively. The tall damping and the short stopping member are combined together and are mounted in the treadmill. The passive shock absorbers are adapted to mount under a flat stationary member on which a person walks, runs or jogs. The top of the tall damping member abuts the flat stationary member. Consequently, the tall damping member can absorb impacts on the person's feet and the short stopping member will stop a compression of the tall damping member as the tall damping member is suddenly deformed and compressed.

  • Patent number: 6761669
Abstract: A treadmill has a stand, a running assembly, a handle assembly and an insulation connecting assembly. The insulation connecting assembly is mounted on the stand to keep the handle assembly from electrically connecting with the running assembly. In such an arrangement, a static electricity free handle assembly is mounted on the treadmill to keep the static electricity from being discharged when the user contacts with the handle assembly.

  • Patent number: 6699160
Abstract: An inclination mechanism for a treadmill having a tread assembly and a front base assembly has a lever arm, a chassis, an actuating assembly, The lever arm has a cross member with a center and two coupling arms pivotally attached to the front of the tread frame. Each coupling arm is pivotally attached to a post of the base frame. The chassis is pivotally attached to a cross bar of the base frame. The actuating assembly has a drive rod and is mounted on the chassis. The drive rod is pivotally attached to the cross member of the lever arm, such that extending or retracting the drive rod causes the lever arm to raise or lower the coupling ends of the coupling arms to increase or decrease the inclination of the tread assembly.
