  • Publication number: 20070030046
Abstract: In a delay cell, a capacitor and a current mirror are configured to have an equivalent capacitance, and the current mirror establishes a capacitor displacement current to charge the capacitor, by which it is equivalently generated a much smaller current to charge the capacitor for a desired delay time. Therefore, the actual layout is much reduced in size for the capacitor, and the capacitor could be implemented within a chip.

  • Patent number: 6663214
Abstract: A micro liquid dispenser that incorporates a liquid pillar injector and a method for depositing liquid on a substrate by the micro liquid dispenser are disclosed. The micro liquid dispenser is constructed by a liquid storage chamber, a micro-actuator and an aperture formed in a semiconductor substrate, such as a silicon substrate. The method for depositing liquid on the substrate can be carried out by positioning a substrate juxtaposed to the aperture of the micro liquid dispenser and then actuating the actuator of the dispenser to inject a liquid pillar from the aperture toward the substrate. Only a tip portion of liquid pillar contacts and thereby attaches to the surface of the substrate while the remaining portion of the liquid pillar breaks off and retracted into the aperture or the liquid storage chamber of the dispenser.

  • Patent number: 6468870
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a LDHOS transistor having a dielectric block under the gate electrode. A high voltage well, low voltage well (LV PW), and field oxide regions having bird beaks are provided in a substrate and overlay the high voltage well and the low voltage well. In a key step, a dielectric block is formed over the bird beaks of the field oxide regions. A gate is formed over the dielectric block. After this the LDMOS device is completed. The invention's dielectric block covers the bird's beaks of the field oxide regions and enhances the e-field tolerance. The invention's e-field enhancement dielectric block relieves the e-field near the bird's beak, thus increasing the breakdown voltage of the transistor.
