  • Publication number: 20070006241
Abstract: A disk recording/reading apparatus for recording/reading a disk is provided. The disk recording/reading apparatus includes a case, a tray, a turntable and an optical pickup unit. The tray is inside the case and has a concave trough and a concave trough extension portion. The concave trough is used for accommodating a disk, and the concave trough extension portion stretches from the concave trough to a side of the tray front end and has an opening passing through the tray. The turntable is disposed below the tray for driving the disk. Wherein, at least a spinning airflow below the disk is suitable for being expelled from the opening of the concave trough extension portion to reduce the noise caused by air turbulence and the vibration during disk spin.

  • Publication number: 20060190955
Abstract: An optical pickup module reading data along a track-seeking path is provided. The optical pickup module comprises a base, a first fastening component, a first shaft and an optical pickup head. The base has a fastening plate and the fastening plate has a sliding hole, wherein an included angle is formed between the extension direction of the sliding hole and the track-seeking path. Since the included angle is formed between the extension direction of the sliding hole and the track-seeking path, one end of the first shaft can be easily inserted into the sliding hole of the fastening plate along the extension direction of the sliding hole. Then, another end of the first shaft is assembled with the first fastening component so that the first shaft is parallel to the track-seeking path. At the same time, one end of the first shaft tightly fits to the fastening plate.

  • Patent number: 6697320
Abstract: A clamping device with variable clamping force of an optical disk drive is disclosed. The main structure consists of a base, a resilient body with restoring property, an annulus magnet (or an annulus yoke) which can exert attraction force to a turntable for clamping disk, and a linking member which can change height of the annulus magnet (or the annulus yoke) relative to base according to the centrifugal force induced by variation of rotational speed of the optical disk drive. The centrifugal force is proportional to square of angular velocity such that the gap between the annulus magnet and the annulus yoke is accordingly adjustable. Variable clamping force is thus achieved by variation of the gap.

  • Publication number: 20020159371
Abstract: A loading tray for optical disk drive in upright position is disclosed. A disk-supporting surface and a disk-contacting surface is designed on the tray as a single component. The disk-supporting surface is an upright slanting surface or a curved surface. Thereby, with the help of the special shape designed on the tray surface, the weight of a disk can be automatically guided to be as a pushing force for mounting the optical disk toward the disk contacting surface so that the disk can be attached tightly on the tray free of dropping out. The loading device can accommodate either thin or thick disk conformed to the Red Book of CD. The utility of the present design make a disk loaded more efficiently and reduce the possibility of scratching or damaging the data surface of the disk.

  • Publication number: 20020124673
Abstract: An impact absorber of a gears-transmission apparatus is disclosed. A gear section in the system is consisted of two rotary units, which are rotating with each other dependently. An elastic element is mounted between these two rotary units so that the mechanism is able to restore to the original position after the external torque being released. Thereby, under the condition without increasing the room available for mechanism design, the transmission apparatus possesses nice performance as a rubber belt for impact buffer from abrupt braking, instantaneous accelerating and collision . . . etc. Therefore, damage to the gear transmission system is effectively prevented so as the whole driving movement is smoother and the noise from collision of the components are also reduced.
