  • Publication number: 20080296601
Abstract: A light-emitting diode includes an optical layer formed in an array of substantially equidistant light extracting spots integrated to its multi-layered structure. The array of light extracting spots includes a distribution of juxtaposed hexagon patterns. The layer thickness of the light extracting spots is less than 800 ?.

  • Publication number: 20070139246
Abstract: A remote-controllable meter/gauge dashboard includes a plurality of meters/gauges, each having an indication surface having a digital display or a pointer-based dial, a receiver arranged inside each meter/gauge, an indicator mounted on the indication surface. Each meter/gauge has a setting-adjustable parameter. A remote controller includes a keyboard module having a plurality of user-actuateable control keys associated with the meters/gauges respectively and generating control signals for the associated meters/gauges, and a transmitter that transmits the control signals to the receivers of the meters/gauges to wirelessly and operatively couple the remote controller to the meters/gauges. Actuation of each control key issues the associated control signal to the associated meter/gauge, which initiates the meter/gauge to carry out adjustment of the parameter. Thus, settings of the meters/gauges can be done in a wireless manner. Displaying color of each meter/gauge can also be changed with the remote controller.

  • Publication number: 20040085746
Abstract: An instrument panel includes a transparent base board interposed between an indicator board on which indicator needles are movably mounted and a transparent cover. The base board defines a number of recesses for respectively and movably accommodating the indicator needles therein. Patterns, such as characters, digitals, scales and figures, are formed on the base board by means of CO2 etching. The base board defines a number of slots in an end thereof for receiving illuminators, such as light emitting diodes, which give off lights of different colors and intensities. The illuminators are connected to and controlled by a control circuit. A sensor is mounted to an automobile for detection of an operation parameter of the automobile and applies the operation parameter to the control circuit.

  • Patent number: 6619829
Abstract: A lighting device for vehicle includes a base defining an interior space therein and having an open end. The base forms a circumferential groove in and around the open end. A hole is defined in a bottom wall of the groove. A light-transmitting cover has a corrugated flange received in the groove of the base for attaching the cover to the open end of the base for covering the open end. A recess is defined in the flange and substantially aligned with the hole. A plurality of projections is formed on an inside surface of the cover and spaced along an inner circumference of the cover. A primary lighting element, such as a conventional automobile headlight bulb, is fixed in the interior space of the base for projecting a light beam through the cover.
