  • Publication number: 20070058137
Abstract: A projection display apparatus including a lighting system, a projection lens and a display device. The lighting system has a light source, a lens set, and an Yttrium Aluminum Garnet filter (YAG filter) is provided. The light source is suitable for providing a light beam. The lens set is disposed on the transmission path of the light beam. The YAG filter is disposed between the light source and the lens set and on the transmission path of the light beam as well. Additionally, the projection lens is disposed on the transmission path of the light beam. The display device is disposed between the lighting system and the projection lens and on the transmission path of the light beam as well. The projection apparatus having the YAG filter is benefited in dispelling the heat of the light source and optical devices, thereby extending lifetime of the light source and optical devices.

  • Publication number: 20070047205
Abstract: A coolant injection process suitable for injecting a coolant into a projection tube having a coolant injection entrance is provided. First, a sealing element is arranged at the coolant injection entrance. Then, the coolant is injected into the projection tube through the coolant injection entrance under sub-atmospheric, wherein the level of the coolant is kept higher than the coolant injection entrance. Next, the coolant injection entrance is sealed by the sealing element under sub-atmospheric. Then, the coolant remaining outside the coolant injection entrance is removed. Moreover, a fixture for the coolant injection process is provided for injecting the coolant into the projection tube. The coolant injection process and the fixture for the same can reduce take time of the process and improve reliability of the projection tube.

  • Publication number: 20070002282
Abstract: A light source module is provided. The light source module includes a reflector, a light source, a transparent cover, a fluorescent material layer, and an optical lens. The light source is disposed inside the reflector, and the light source is suitable for emitting light including white light. The light source is enveloped with the transparent cover and the reflector. The fluorescent material layer is disposed on the transparent cover and the light emitted from the light source is suitable for exciting the fluorescent material layer to emit red light. The optical lens is disposed on an optical path of the light source, and the transparent cover is located between the optical lens and the light source. By utilizing the aforementioned structures, the intensity of the red light can be increased. Moreover, an optical projection system is also provided.

  • Publication number: 20060279494
Abstract: A color compensation system for a display including least one display panel and a light source is provided. The system includes a memory, a modulator and a controller. The memory stores a number of sets of gamma look up tables (LUTs) consisting of a color data. The modulator is electrically connected with the memory and the display panel. The controller is electrically connected with the memory and the light source. When the light source is turned on, the controller counts the use time of the light source. When the use time reaches a first predetermined value, the controller selects one of the sets of gamma look up tables (LUTs) in the memory and provides the color data of the set of gamma look up table to the modulator, and the modulator provides a driving voltage to the display panel by using the color data.

  • Publication number: 20060274283
Abstract: A rear projection display, including a base, a partition, a frame, and an optical engine, is provided. The partition is disposed in the base for defining a system space and a lens adjusting space, wherein the system space and the lens adjusting space are exposed by a front opening on the base. The optical engine is disposed in the system space, and a projection lens of the optical engine protrudes into the lens adjusting space. The frame is disposed on the base for fixing a screen. The focal length can be directly adjusted through the lens adjusting space, and the projection effect can be observed simultaneously from the screen.
