Abstract: Embodiments of a method for selecting an antenna set and a wireless communication device utilizing the same are described. The wireless communication device includes a set of external antenna ports, a set of internal antennas, a communication circuit and a controller. The set of external antenna ports receives a set of first RF signals from a set of external antennas. The set of internal antennas receives a set of second RF signals. The communication circuit, coupled to the set of external antenna ports and the set of internal antennas, determines a first signal quality according to the set of first RF signals, determines a second signal quality according to the set of second RF signals, determines which of the first or second signal quality is higher, and switches to the set of antennas which correspond to the higher signal quality.
