  • Patent number: 11956421
Abstract: Method and apparatus of video coding are disclosed. According to one method, in the decoder side, a predefined Intra mode is assigned to a neighboring block adjacent to the current luma block when the neighboring block satisfies one or more conditions. An MPM (Most Probable Mode) list is derived based on information comprising at least one of neighboring Intra modes. A current Intra mode is derived utilizing the MPM list. The current luma block is decoded according to the current Intra mode According to another method, a predefined Intra mode is assigned to a neighboring block adjacent to the current luma block if the neighboring block is coded in BDPCM (Block-based Delta Pulse Code Modulation) mode, where the predefined Intra mode is set to horizontal mode or vertical mode depending on prediction direction used by the BDPCM mode.

  • Patent number: 11941821
Abstract: An image sleep analysis method and system thereof are disclosed. During sleep duration, a plurality of visible-light images of a body are obtained. Positions of image differences are determined by comparing the visible-light images. A plurality of features of the visible-light images are identified and positions of the features are determined. According to the positions of the image differences and features, the motion intensities of the features are determined. Therefore, a variation of the motion intensities is analyzed and recorded to provide accurate sleep quality.

  • Patent number: 10632081
Abstract: Disclosed is an intralymphatic delivery method for treating lymphatic cancer using hyaluronan nanoparticles. These nanoparticles include a hyaluronic acid derivative and a platinum compound. The hyaluronan derivative includes hyaluronic acid, modified histidine and optionally one or more of a polymer or a C4-C20 alkyl. The hyaluronic acid derivative may include linking group(s) that connect the polymer or the C4-C20 alkyl to the hyaluronic acid. The platinum compound includes dichloro(1,2-diaminocyclohexane) platinum (DACHPt), cisplatin and oxaliplatin. This intralymphatic delivery method offers significant advantages for the use of platinum medicines in treating lymphatic cancer.

  • Patent number: 5479075
Abstract: A fluorescent lamp starter circuit includes a relay which forms a first circuit loop to detect the input voltage and to switch the relay from the normally-closed position to the normally-open position once the input voltage reaches the threshold level. The switching of the relay to the normally-open position opens the first circuit loop and closes a second circuit loop constituted partly by the relay to allow current to flow through and heat up the electrodes of the fluorescent lamp. After a certain time period, the relay, which is controlled by the discharging of a capacitor, is switched back to the normally-closed position to open the second circuit loop. The electrodes of the fluorescent lamp, after having been heated, begins to emit electrons and this lowers down the impedance that it represents so that the voltage across the first circuit loop is not sufficient to actuate the relay so as to maintain the relay at the normally-closed position.
