  • Publication number: 20090022026
Abstract: A method for calibrating a focus level on a light scribe disc includes driving a pick-up head with a predetermined speed in a predetermined direction to calibrate a focus level for a moving stage, detecting light summed signals along the light path of the moving stage, and finding and recording the maximum light summed signal and corresponding position of the pick-up head as the focus level for the moving stage. When a number of the moving stages is greater than a predetermined value, the focus level of the moving stage serves as the optimum focus level of the light scribe disc. When the number of moving stages is fewer, lowering the speed with a stage reduction and change the direction opposite to the predetermined direction, and proceeding to a next moving stage to calibrate the focus level.

  • Publication number: 20090022018
Abstract: A focusing control method on a light-scribed disc firstly focuses a base voltage on a label side. Light summed signals are detected and recorded. The biggest light summed signal is determined, and subtracts the light summed signal of each spoke to form an error signal. The error signal is multiplied by a gain to form a gain signal. The base voltage adds the gain signal to form an upper referring voltage, and subtracts the gain signal to form a lower referring voltage. The label side is focused with the upper referring voltage and the lower referring voltage respectively. The light summed signals are detected and recorded, to determine the biggest light summed signal of each spoke. According to the corresponding voltage of the biggest light summed signals, a focusing control curve is approached to determine optimum parameters.

  • Patent number: 7439647
Abstract: A brushless DC motor and a stator thereof. The stator comprises an upper magnetic pole piece and a lower magnetic pole piece. The upper magnetic pole piece comprises a plurality of upper protruding portions extending toward the lower magnetic pole piece, and the lower magnetic pole piece comprises a plurality of lower protruding portions extending toward the upper magnetic pole piece. The upper protruding portions and the lower protruding portions are substantially spaced apart and alternately arranged. A positioning portion extending from a distal end of each upper protruding portion is located below the magnetic ring of the rotor, to increase the magnetic force therebetween. Alternatively, a positioning portion can be formed between the lower protruding portions of the lower magnetic pole piece and extended to the bottom of the rotor; thus, an axial attraction force can be generated to stabilize the rotor.

  • Publication number: 20080143753
Abstract: A method of rapidly generating a gray-level versus brightness curve of display causes a color display to display a test image that includes a plurality of block images. Each block image has different gray-level value. By using a light detector and a color analyzing device, corresponding brightness values of the gray-level values can be obtained. Therefore, a gray-level versus brightness curve can be generated according to the gray-level values and their corresponding brightness values.

  • Publication number: 20080143752
Abstract: A method for rapidly generating the gray-level versus brightness curve of a display includes the step of obtaining a portion of the gray-level values and their corresponding brightness values. These values are then used in a mathematical formula to find variables to obtain the gray-level versus brightness curve.
