Patent number: 7286114Abstract: A track ball structure for controlling movements of a cursor comprises a body, a capacity in the body, a track ball housed in the capacity having a portion exposed outside the capacity for controlling the movements of the cursor, and a plurality of sensors located in the capacity surrounding the track ball for detecting pressure directions. When the track ball is rollable continuously in a selected direction to compress the sensors so that the cursor is moved continuously in the selected direction. Thus, the track ball structure uses less part of a hand to control the track ball simply, conforms to human engineering, and moves the cursor to an objective position in a short time.Type: GrantFiled: February 24, 2004Date of Patent: October 23, 2007Assignee: Lite-On Technology CorporationInventor: Shih-Yang Lee

Patent number: 7084417Abstract: A positioning structure of plane image input apparatus comprises a hollow body, carrying scanned documents and setting a correct picture on outer and inner opposite sides, and an optical module inside the body moving back and forth. The optical module has a correct light source to emit light, a correct hole for reflect light passing through and propagating to the optical module, a guiding mirror set to guide light, and a charge couple device to receive light. The correct light source and the correct hole are respect to the correct picture side of the body. After reflected by the correct picture, light passes the correct hole, to the optical module and is guided by the guiding mirror set to the charge couple device for the optical module to correct color rank and to position. Thus, the positioning structure improves accuracy of correcting color rank and positioning of the correct picture.Type: GrantFiled: January 29, 2004Date of Patent: August 1, 2006Assignee: Lite-On Technology CorporationInventor: Shih-Yang Lee

Patent number: 6965749Abstract: The present invention provides an image-inputting device with an electrostatic generating device used to generate the electrostatic charge to inner surface of the top cover of the image-inputting device, such that the document sheet can be adsorbed by the electrostatic charge that over the inner surface of the top cover after scanning or photocopy process is finished. Thus, the document sheet would fall down to the transparent platen owing to the adsorbability between the document sheet and the inner surface of the top cover of the image-inputting device is disappeared.Type: GrantFiled: February 2, 2004Date of Patent: November 15, 2005Assignee: Lite-On Technology CorporationInventor: Shih Yang Lee

Publication number: 20020137446Abstract: A liquid crystal display (LCD) cell chamfering apparatus mainly comprises a grinding disc rotatably disposed in a housing, a liftable cover sealed an opening defined in the housing and a vacuum device for creating a vacuum in the housing relative to ambient. The liftable cover is provided with a track device mounted thereon. A slidable V-shaped clamp is mounted on the track device for holding a LCD cell. The corner of the LCD cell is brought into contact with the grinding disc, which is rotating, through an opening defined in the clamp and a slot defined in the cover thereby chamfering the corner of the LCD cell.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 30, 2001Publication date: September 26, 2002Applicant: HannStar Display Corp.Inventor: Shih Yang Lee

Publication number: 20020060773Abstract: A peeling device comprises a frame, two support rollers and a take-up roller pivotally connected to the frame, and a driving device mounted on the frame for driving the take-up roller rotating relative to the frame. The axis of the take-up roller is parallel to the two support roller. When the driving device drives the take-up roller rotating relative to the frame, the polarizing film will be wound on the take-up roller till the polarizing film is completely peeled out of the LCD panel. It should be noted that one of the two support rollers is positioned between the take-up roller and the other of the two support rollers, and therefore the LCD panel is loaded on two support rollers and the take-up roller dose not apply force to the LCD panel. The present invention further provides a method for peeling the polarizing film from the LCD panel by means of the peeling device according to the present invention.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 23, 2001Publication date: May 23, 2002Applicant: HannStar Display Corp.Inventor: Shih Yang Lee

Patent number: 5002412Abstract: A print head for use in a wire dot printer has a plurality of wires, an armature connected to each of the wires, a core of a magnetic circuit which is disposed in opposing relation to the armature, a resilient member for biasing the armature in a direction in which it is separated from the core, and a rear case disposed so as to cover the upper side of the armature. Each of the wires is driven by the action of the armature which is attracted toward the core when a coil wound on the core is energized. The print head is provided with an armature guide having a resilient stopper disposed between each armature and the rear case to support the armature against the biasing force from the resilient member. Thus, it is possible to support each armature inserted into the armature guide by means of the stopper even more stably during an assembling step carried out before the rear case is mounted. Accordingly, the assembling operation is simplified and facilitated.Type: GrantFiled: September 8, 1989Date of Patent: March 26, 1991Assignee: Alps Electric Co., Ltd.Inventor: Isao Ohwada
