  • Publication number: 20030209695
Abstract: A dispersant composition for inorganic substances, used in the presence of an aqueous solvent, is characterized by containing a polymer containing polyalkylene oxide groups, anionic and cationic groups, the polyalkylene oxide group being represented by formula (I): —(R1—O)n-R2 [in formula (I), R1 represents an ethylene group or a propylene group, R2 represents an alkyl group having carbon atoms of 1 to 20, which may contain hydrogen or a substitute group, and n is an integer in the range of 1 to 300]. The anionic group is preferably selected from the group consisting of a carboxyl group, sulfonic acid group, phosphoric acid group, carboxylate group, sulfonate group and phosphate group. The cationic group is preferably selected from the group consisting of an amino group and an ammonium base. Thus, the dispersant composition for inorganic substances makes it possible to improve at least one of the dispersing property and dispersing stability of the inorganic substance in water.
