  • Publication number: 20240298221
Abstract: A system, method and non-transitory computer readable media for facilitating adaptive anchor layer mobility in a 5G NSA implementation. In one arrangement, a handover modulation criterion involving relevant trigger parametrics of an anchor cell node serving a UE and a target cell node may be compared against a tunable threshold parameter indicative of the effect of the target cell on the anchor cell quality. If the handover modulation criterion does not exceed the tunable threshold value, a quality degradation prediction with respect to the UE may be executed to estimate a likelihood of service failure for the UE. Responsive to determining that the likelihood of service failure does not exceed a probability threshold, handover of the UE to the target cell may be suppressed.

  • Publication number: 20230308968
Abstract: A network node in a telecommunications network can measure a first throughput associated with a first communication channel between the network node and a communication device. The first communication channel can include an active communication channel that uses a first radio access technology, RAT. The network node can further predict a second throughput associated with a second communication channel between the network node and the communication device if communication associated with the communication device was switched to the second communication channel. The second communication channel can include an inactive communication channel that uses a second RAT. The network node can further determine to switch the communication associated with the communication device to the second communication channel based on the first throughput and the second throughput.

  • Publication number: 20230262520
Abstract: A computer-implemented method for adaptive beam management for load balancing communication devices over ports used for a channel state information reference signal, CSI-RS, in a telecommunications network. The method includes predicting from a machine learning model predicted channel quality indicator, CQI, values for target beam candidates for offloading one or more communication devices. The method includes identifying a target beam candidate having a highest CQI value from the predicted CQI values. The method includes deciding to offload the one or more communication devices from an offload beam candidate to the target beam candidate when a difference between the highest CQI value of the target beam candidate and a CQI value of the offload beam candidate is greater than or equal to a threshold value. The method includes initiating offloading of the one or more communication devices from the offload beam candidate to the target beam candidate.

  • Publication number: 20210352529
Abstract: A method performed by a network node for handling load balancing of at least one User Equipment (UE) is provided. The at least one UE has performed a respective handover to a Second Frequency, F2, carrier provided by the network node in a communication within a wireless communication network. The network node evaluates (201) whether or not each of the at least one UE has resided at the F2 carrier for a respective time period which is below a first threshold value. The network node decides (202) that one or more first UEs out of the at least one UE shall be put through a further evaluation for load balancing when any one or more of the first UEs have resided at the F2 carrier for a respective time period which is below the first threshold value. The network node decides (203) that each one or more second UEs out of the at least one UE is a candidate for load balancing when any one or more of the second UEs have resided at the F2 carrier for a respective time period which is not below the first threshold value.

  • Patent number: 10390383
Abstract: A node of a wireless communication network receives a first request for establishment of a connection between a communication device and the wireless communication network. Upon receiving the first request, the node starts a timer and establishes a context for the connection between the communication device and the wireless communication network. Further, the node receives a second request for establishment of a connection between a communication device and the wireless communication network. Depending on a state of the timer when receiving the second request, the node selects between: A) establishing an additional context for the connection between the communication device and the wireless communication network while maintaining the established context, and B) releasing the established context and establishing a new context for the connection between the communication device and the wireless communication network.

  • Publication number: 20180189829
Abstract: Systems, methods and tools for delivering campaign related messages to users engaging in potential cross-currency transactions. Embodiments of the disclosure combines analytics with data collection techniques to predict potential cross-currency transaction, learn about the user, user's location, the user's native currency type associated with the transaction predicted and obtain conversion rate information to make predictions about the strengths or weaknesses of the user's native currency. The embodiments may direct campaign messages to the user's client device promoting or encouraging cost savings the user may incur by completing the transaction at a favorable time for the currency exchange. The cross-currency campaign delivery system may optimize the offers extended to the user during a messaging campaign by comparing the currency rates being used in the cross-currency transaction to the projected strength of the currency at both the present time and over a projected timeline.
